My post on my ActiveCAI project in June 2003 has been removed!

Here is a repost.

My DIY Active Cold Air Intake;

My project on ActiveCAI (active cold air intake) was based on what I gathered reading.

I wanted the cold air intake to improve power and also wanted response.

So I devise that if I force air into my cold air intake, I should achieve what I require.

Based on the concept of exhaust driven turbine/turbochargers (TC), TC

BTW this is the last chance to get the ActiveCAI at $400.

Suitable for Subaru 1.6L GL/TS Impreza.

Other makes may/may not apply.

I have been negotiating with a local vendor, ADM, to market and sell ActiveCAI.

Get ActiveCAI at base price while stocks last.

Prices will go up soon after that.

Thanks.

I dun know if ActiveCAI will pass LTA. However it is very easy to remove the whole set-up - 2 nuts and 1 clamp = less than 10min (in the Impreza).

ActiveCAI objective is to reduce/remove negative pressure in the air intake system by using a blower that can sustain positive pressure with cold air from a CAI.

Message me if you like to have a look at it.

no shiit man! yours looks like a type of supercharger which runs on battery power instead of belt & pulley power!!!

will it be effective for mine which already have a turbo and an a intercooler?

will the battery power required be more than what the aternator can supply the batter with?

at least our friend follows this guideline:

"Have you done a search? We have a powerful search system and what you are asking may have already been answered. This will save you time from waiting for a reply. Before you post a new thread, visit our search page. If you have too many results, try limiting the date to the last 6 months."laugh.gif
