Hi!! Do you mind if I do a small survey with you?? Coz I would like to find out what are the factors that a person base on to choose the model.

1) Age?

2) What makes you choose the Accord?

3) Why the 2.4L over the 2.0L?

4) Why the 2.4L over the Euro R?

Thank you. You are not obliged to answer. [:)]

As what other bros had said...

Honda Accord JDM has 3 versions of cars parallel imported to Singapore...

Accord JDM 2.0E - (2.0L car with I-Vtec engine, 155bhp)

Accord JDM 2.4T - (2.4L car with I-Vtec engine, 200bhp)

Accord JDM Euro R - (2L car with I-Vtec tubrocharged engine, 220bhp)

hope this clear your doubts...

cheers.

Accord Euro R is non Turbo. Honda doesnt believe in Turbo. Though they did had turbo many many years ago in their cars, like the Honda City Turbo.

Euro R turbo is only after market.

Long live Honda VTEC that do not need Turbo to let a 2.0 liter engine produce 220 bhp sunny.gif

sure bro...

i try to answer your qns as much as i could ok...

1) Age?

what do u mean by age? my age or the car u are saying???

2) What makes you choose the Accord?

Several reasons;

-Fuel efficient, reliable and good i-vtec engine

-nice design of the car appearance

-spare parts easy to get

-many workshops in singapore can repair a honda car

3) Why the 2.4L over the 2.0L?

well, this is preference though... i like more powerful car but without tubocharging the engine and also a car with auto transmission therefore i choose the 2.4L even though the road tax is a bit high but the cost difference between the 2.4L and 2.0L is less than 10K... for your info the specs given for the fuel comsumption for the 2.4L is about 12km/l whereas for the 2.0L is about 13km/l. Also the 2.4L got twin exhaust while the 2.0L got only one exhaust.

4) Why the 2.4L over the Euro R?

Euro R only had manual transmission available and their engine is turbocharged to produce such high power therefore it is not fuel efficient at all.... (that is what the seller told me that Euro R is a turbo car)

hope i had answered all your questions..

cheers.

For me Age doesn't play such a big part. If i like the looks of the car, it interior, handling and engine, i would go for it.

I like the JDM Accord 2.0 because:

1. Looks

2. Vtec engine

3. 5 speed auto box

I would not choose the 2.4 because of the road tax. If i wanted more power (which i do) i would go for the Euro R, a 2 liter engine that produces 220 bhp and non turbo so the FC is still pretty good.

the price for the 3 versions are around...

$102K-$104K for 2.0L

$114K-$118K for 2.4L

$128K-$132K for Euro R
