Mk0206 Neutral Newbie August 25, 2004 Share August 25, 2004 Hi everyone, Just discovered this board. Great read! I am considering the Lexus ES300 and wonder if anyone has got any personal experience with the car. The new price of S$162K is quite good but I noticed that the car really depreciates a lot. For a 1+ year old car, the asking is between $120-$130K. That is a lot of money lost in a year, man! Because of the much lower cost of a 2nd hand car, I am thinking of getting it 2nd hand instead of new. Why does the price seem to drop so much more compared to other cars? I have heard some comments regarding problems with the car and also relatively high maintenance cost. Can anyone comment. Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
Silver_blade Turbocharged August 25, 2004 Share August 25, 2004 The more expensive the car is, the more depreciation. Depreciation is the greatestin the 1st yr. My friend exported his s-class and lost $140k in 3.5yrs.
