And now we know why BM dare to sell cars at such ridiculous price.

But fortunately, the market proved that most Singaporean still think before they purchase a car

You should use "I" not "we".

But I guess it is ok to let you feel good to have "many" behind you.

To you it's ridiculous. To the majority who buy and make altis number 1 , the price is reasonable.

Suggest that you bring it to your regular mechanic to have a thorough check first before committing to the car. Just prepare about 2 to 3k for changing of wear and tear.

i searched the forum for threads on key stuck and could not find.

it has happened to my car for 2nd time in 5 years.

after parking, and switching to engine off, the key cannot take out.

got to try flipping the key up and down until by chance it comes out.

called BM, they said replacing the switch unit is very very expensive.

Adjusting the steering wheel while turning the key might help.

Wah at last someone reply. Haha new generation of cars keyless.

The BM folks asked me to try that too. Alternatively press in the key.

none works.

I still do not know how it became freed. Was prepared to drive home and leave overnight with key in car. Scary.

I think similar thing happened to my honda before. When I get in a try to start the engine, the key can't turn.  Have to jiggle the key, try to move steering, etc.

My guess is that last person who parked the car shifted to park too quickly before car came to complete stop.

not the same.

in my case, the key cannot take out after engine shutdown.

i could re-start the engine. In fact i did that several times. Start , go forward, reverse, drive one round.

no one here with similar problem. it has happened twice in 5 years.

changing the assembly is not an option as BM says it is very expensive .... maybe thousands of dollars.

You need a hard tonneau cover.

I had installed a soft one, gives me flexibility to put stuff especially when I go to IKEA

Bought this in Lazada Thailand costs only 2,250 baht or $95

Hard ones looked very nice and its also inexpensive with auto remote open and close costs only $800 start most popular brand here is Carryboy.

Hi,

I am a Toyota Corolla Driver and I switched from a Honda, I am not going to name the models though. i just find a Toyota more reliable than . most cars, the car is easy to repair, the parts are easily accessible, not to say the Honda was not reliable, it had more costs related to maintenance with lower KM travelled compared to the Toyota.

Thanks for the update.
