Hi,

I am a Jaguar owner. I have been driving it for the last one and half years. I had some minor issues with the entertainment system and car camera and have tried booking appointments. The sad part is at the service centre nobody is bothered about customers as the service is fully booked all times. The appointment if changed the next appointment which will be available was a month later.

I find the customer service to be poor or not monitored as the staff does this to their convince.

I planned to travel Malaysia by road, therefore requested Jaguar service centre for a health check via WhatsApp. There was no reply. Then Then I called them, the voice mail messages were full. Then I called them by another number, and was informed that they would get back to me. No reply. Then I called and was told I had to book an appointment.

Nobody tried at least a little to accommodate me. I find the custom service to be ZERO!

My previous car was a Subaru, At MOTORIMAGE service centre, everything happen so quick and the service technician were always ready to accommodate or atleast offer an alternative. With confidence I was taken care of.

When I wanted to complaint the same email is given to me of the service center therefore the people who service the car would response to me. What a joke.

Wearnes service centre has failed me. What a disappointment in buying a JAGUAR with ZERO after service.

The staff themselves inform me that they did not have enough staff.

The pride of buying was given to us when buying and taken away with after sales service.

I Feel for u.

Yr Rant is quite a mouthful .

I do Notice many premium A.D are pretty short handed.

If all things(on-Line booking)failed to hook up ,why dun u front up to their wshop & do a manual booking plus a piece of yr Mind,Hahaha.

If Yr Health check was Not Done ,& if it bcomes Pear shaped (unhealthy on the Road)

Well well WELL.

Bringing Moto image into the Equation doesn’t makes the Situation any better.

But I dun realli understand what u are trying

to put across ……….

( When I wanted to complaint the same email is given to me of the service center therefore the people who service the car would response to me)

Jaguar is a niche brand like ur Alfa so opinion can be skewed bec the no of drivers are small unlike other conti like Merc and BMW

For sedans

If you are looking at XE, then a bit too early to tell bec the ingenium is new, but since XE is a newer car, statistically will give you less problems bec the oldest sec hand XE would still be less than 3 years old and maybe under warranty if under 5 year package

For XF, the current facelifted version and the previous version (after 2010-11) are much better and reliable than the old generation X type

other than wear and tear, not heard of any major issues based on feedback from a few workshops. Of course there are owners with specific problems if you check out the various online Jag forums, but this applies to many other car models

Importantly, make sure you have the full service record of the Jag you wish to buy and get a workshop inspection

Maintenance for old jag will naturally be higher compared to the spareparts of Merc and BM, but Jags like alfa are rarer, with nice sporty exterior and lots of power

Good Feedback from an obvious Jag passionate.

I am Merk Fan boy for a Good many years who Juzz happens to pass thru here.

Seriously Conti do have a Bad Name Locally ,cos many moved from the usual Sushi/Kimchi Derivatives.

From those to the Continental makes ,not onli one needs to adjust their mindset as well as  the financial outlay .

There’s No doubt the Contis are better but it does constitutes a higher price as well ,one thing ppl must understand ,the Europeans are pretty Anal in their Maintenance Schefule.u needs to service what the manual tells u.

But Seriously after around the Block for a quite while ,it’s not gonna cost u an arm & a Leg per Se.

After the warranty period is over ,there’s plenty of wshop who Specialise in a certain Brand,,for dis case Jaguar .

Many Technician from the A.D wdrkshop Will ventured out on their own.

Dat will save u Quite a bit & if u manage to source yr own spares from the many Stockist around ,further saving can be made

Some  Tips,Many on-Line Carousell Stockist ,u can check them out too.

Do remember all Stockist are not created Equal.

Then finally try to get a wshop who’s willing to take up such task(many are not willing)

As u can see Owning a Conti Marques probably will onli cost u a bit more  ,if u try to navigate around .

Yr mentioned of Full Service Record dun realli work Locally,I gives all of mine to the Dealer & he was Mmm ok,then probably chuck one side.

But Do send to an expert for a P.P.I  will work wonders for u.
