Putter Neutral Newbie July 26, 2005 Share July 26, 2005 You drank too much cofee and can't sleep? Help Lightspeed to brainstorm and hunt for a place leh... I am thinking of... 1. Woodlands Sport School car park...but abit too far... 2. East Coast Park extreme end near to East Coast Camp site (but no tree) 3. Eunos carpark beside Eunos MRT (lots of shade but not sure if it is croweded) 4. Labrador Park 5. KFC at Ridout Tea Garden along Queensway 6. Queenstown driving range car-park will continue later...need to go...
Fortress Clutched July 26, 2005 Share July 26, 2005 Pardon my ignorance, what is this Royal Purple thingy all about. May I ask what is so special about it.
Lightspeed Clutched July 26, 2005 Share July 26, 2005 Just a brand of engine oil... nothing special to me also
Lightspeed Clutched July 26, 2005 Share July 26, 2005 http://www.royalpurple.com/ There were group buys for this many moons ago...
Genie47 1st Gear July 26, 2005 Share July 26, 2005 Still asking around? I already advised you to get any MB229.3 rated oil for your VW enigne.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie July 26, 2005 Author Share July 26, 2005 I know... I know... I just wanna know whether is Royal Purple tat good or not...

Secondhand Neutral Newbie July 27, 2005 Author Share July 27, 2005 Hmm... Guess it's not popular engine oil with Skodians here...
Genie47 1st Gear July 27, 2005 Share July 27, 2005 That's because VW engines would require a VW or MB rated oil preferably at least MB229.3 no less.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie July 27, 2005 Author Share July 27, 2005 Esso Ultron can rite? Cause dat time the workshop used Esso for engine oil... I didn't go and buy my own engine oil...
Genie47 1st Gear July 27, 2005 Share July 27, 2005 The synthetic 5W40 Esso is MB229.3 rated. Some people say better than the M1 Gold 0W40.
Cyberet Neutral Newbie July 27, 2005 Share July 27, 2005 (edited) definately better than Shell Helix Ultra.. hehe.. after SHU, switched to Ultron, obviously can tell it doesn't cause the car to become sluggish all the way till Oil change, where as compared to SHU, 6k km only can feel sluggish liaoz. Now on thinner RP (cost reasons).. seems like engine more rough when reving, maybe because ultron thicker, so some how reduce the vibrations.. but normal cruising RP quieter and rev climbs faster Edited July 27, 2005 by Cyberet
Secondhand Neutral Newbie July 27, 2005 Author Share July 27, 2005 Genie, so is it recommended I stick to Esso Ultron or change back to M1? Rite now, my car feels same as when it was running on M1...
Fortress Clutched July 27, 2005 Share July 27, 2005 I believe Skodian are wise people. Things like these do not come competitive and it is probably a waste of money, hence, I said Skodian got their cars, value for money. ↡ Advertisement
