Maserati has released a teaser image of a new model that will be released at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show which will open on 19th April. What could it be?

It is widely reported that the new model under the silky blue veil is the all new Ghibli saloon, which the Italian company has been working on and has been spied testing on several occasions.

The covered up model shows a long hood with a prominent grille. The large wheel arches and strong bodylines at the side are clearly evident too. If this shapely model turns out to be the Ghibli, the BMW 5 Series has got something very serious to worry about.

The Ghibli is expected to be powered by a 385bhp twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 or a 480bhp twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8. These engines will likely be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. An all wheel drive system is on the option list.
