The car has just set a new record after being driven for 2,111km on one tank of fuel in a trip from the Swiss Alps to the North Sea and back, with Felix Egolf, a former Airbus pilot, behind the wheel.

It has an official fuel consumption figure of 25.4km/L but on the trip, the car's computer indicated an average consumption of 28.9km/L.

According to the Egolf, he claims that this hypermiling tour with the car proves that anybody who has an anticipatory driving style can easily equal or better the official consumption figures.

While that might be hard to do so on our roads, it is still worth to give it a try as it is pretty satisfying to be able to match the manufacturer's figures.

Actually diesels tend to struggle in cold climate, especially when trying to start in winter. Gasoline doesnt have this issue

i think colder cilmate also help in FC.

It might. Cooler air temperature also means no need to turn on the air conditioning too.

  • Carpark Review: Junction 8

Built in the 1980s, Bishan (or Bishan New Town) may not be one of the earliest housing estates in Singapore, but it was the first whose HDB architecture saw a departure from the more brutalist designs of the past and featured more variation in height and design.  Residents are primarily served by Junction 8, which opened in 1993. Now more than 30 years old, it remains the sole mall in the Bishan East area. Driving there? Here’s our quick review of the carpark.  Manoeuvrability: T
