Keyless entry systems aren't as safe from thief as it seems
Germany's national motoring body, ADAC, found out that the keyless entry system for than 20 different models from 12 different manufacturers aren't safe from thief. It reported that every single one of the cars tested could be opened and stolen within seconds.
In matter of seconds? No, we aren't pulling your legs. All the thief needs is a wireless range extender that matches the key's frequency, which in turn tricks the car into thinking that the key is near the car. The car will then be automatically unlocked and driving off will be as easy as pressing the engine start button.
