It was reported that the accident happened during a test drive within the brand's 'Electric Road Trip' across Europe event when the car 'made a loud noise' and displayed a warning on the dashboard that there was an issue with charging.

Sensing something amiss, the Tesla employee in the passenger seat told the driver to pull over before the car burst into flames. By the time the firefighters responded to the fire, the car was completely destroyed. No one was hurt in the incident.

A Tesla official is said to be cooperating with the local authorities with the fire investigations
