blogentry-133713-0-01181000-1474170749_thumb.jpgThe Audi R8 is set to receive the 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine seen in latest Porsche Panamera says Autocar.

The engine, which has has been developed by Audi and Porsche and will be used to replace the 4.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that was in the first generation R8. Another reason for the downsizing is also due to the tough emissions standards in some markets like China.

In the R8, expected power rating would be around the 430-450bhp mark, considering the same engine does 434bhp in the Panamera 4S. It would also eclipse the old V8's 414bhp easily.

The same engine is set to see action in a selection of Audi models, including the next RS4, RS5 and RS Q5. Interestingly, Audi has confirmed that the engine will be offered with a selection of different power and torque outputs depending on the spec of the car.

It remains unknown when the twin-turbo V6 will join the Audi R8 family.

While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
