Looks like Renault is going to build an even faster Megane R.S.
Based on Renault's history, we can probably guess that there will be more hardcore versions of the Megane R.S. even after the Trophy variant.
And spotted on the Nuburgring recently by Carscoops, it does really seemed like Renault is working on a new flagship for its hot hatch. Likely to be called the Trophy-R like the previous generation Megane, the new one comes with a a vented bonnet with a big bump in the middle that might mean something.
Meanwhile, the red accent on its front bumper is very similar to the old Trophy-R and the car spied on the Green Hell has its LED running lights deleted, presumably to cater for some sort of cooling for the brakes or engine.
From the side, we can see new wheels plus larger brakes and a large white tape that probably camouflages its decals.
As for the interior, the spy photographers manage to reveal a red steel bar where the rear seats should be, reaffirming the possibility of the prototype being the Megane RS Trophy-R.
Being the most track-focused variant, the car will likely be the lightest but unknown whether the car will get more power or any other handling upgrades.
