  1. Tested EQE 300 since so tempted go EV, nice car acceleration is better than my W213 E200 fully equipped but can't agree on the price so didn't close the deal. Walk back to car park drive my W213 E200 I got sudden feeling how nimble my my W213 compared to EQE. I think 1 ton weight different makes a lot different in handling and steering, so now not so tempted to get EV. May be next car will consider Hybrid or stick with ICE W214 in 1-2 years
  2. This same E200 was selling at just $80K (or $8K annual dep) with fresh 10-year COE during Covid in 2020.
  3. But buying an Attrage in Singapore is like buying a E200 in Australia.😫
  4. So many W212 on the road, do check in if you are in mcf Also do share what you have done to ur ride 1. Thaiyotakamli (brown) E200 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. I know fongmy own one
  5. All-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class unveiled in Singapore 26 Jan 2024Viewed : 811 times PreviousNext The new E-Class is currently available here as the E200 and can be had in either Avantgarde, Exclusive, or AMG Line variants. Mercedes-Benz Singapore has taken the covers off the latest E-Class Saloon, which promises to offer even better refinement, and more advanced technology and safety than its predecessor. Helping reinforce the first point is the E-Class' design, which is visually similar to the S-Class flagship limousine. There's a new illuminated front grille, plus either LED or Digital Light headlamps with a new light signature as well. A 201bhp 2.0-litre engine powers the Mercedes-Benz E200 Sedan, allowing it to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 7.5 seconds For improved aerodynamics, the door handles are now retractable. At the rear, the two-piece taillights are now 'connected' to help emphasise the sedan's width, and the brake lights are shaped like the Mercedes tristar motif. The new E-Class retains the classic form of a three-box sedan, with a short front overhang, 'cab-backward' design and well-proportioned rear overhang. It is longer, wider and taller than the previous model, and offers even more passenger space than before. The highlight of the interior is the third-generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system. Standard across all E-Class variants is the MBUX Superscreen, which extends from the passenger side A-pillar to the centre console. The Mercedes-Benz MBUX Superscreen stretches the length of the dashboard, and is offered as standard in the E-Class Saloon The front passenger can use his display to either browse, watch videos or listen to his own music, while the centre screen can be utilised for say, navigation. The instrument panel, which offers several layout options, remains separate. Menu loading times and screen responsiveness have both been improved as well. Designed to be more user-friendly, MBUX can learn users' routines. For instance, the climate control can be set to warmer temperatures in the morning and at night, but use cooler settings during the day. It also has colour-coded icons, much like what the driver would see on his or her smartphone, for easier navigation. The MBUX Superscreen is also equipped with an inward-facing selfie and video camera. Though useful, saving the media isn't seamless, as you'll need to use a USB drive to save the files, which cannot be wirelessly sent to your smartphone. The wheelbase of this generation E-Class has grown by 22mm compared to its predecessor, allowing it to offer more legroom than before With regard to climate control, the new E-Class has two-zone Thermatic as standard, with the four-zone Thermotronic available as an option. Buyers who opt for this can also enjoy Digital Vent Control, which allows users to electronically adjust airflow in the infotainment. There are pre-set modes such as 'Head', 'Upper Body', 'Even', and 'Averted'. If you're feeling cold, selecting the latter pushes the airflow away from you. However, one can still instantly adjust the airflow by manually moving the vents. The E-Class is currently available as the E200, in either Avantgarde, Exclusive or AMG Line. The E200 powertrain consists of a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild hybrid system capable of 201bhp and 320Nm of torque. Paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the E200 does the century sprint in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 240km/h. The claimed average fuel consumption is 14.3km/L. Prices for the E200 currently start from $398,888 with COE. According to Me

  11. Its the 520i..... Not ready yet for full electric at the moment. Hee 1. The new 5 series is larger, more menacing in looks. Longer. 2. The seats are comfy. Actually super comfy. I had taken it to as far as Perak. And my passengers felt the back seats are comfy. Its kinda slope in, super support for the backsides. And helps induce sleep. Lol. 3. Interior is nice. As usual, the soft touches as expected. Nice panels to go along. Though its more touch screen nowadays. The in-build navigation is nice, easier to use than W213. 4. The pick up is decent. W213 e200 is slightly quicker honestly. But 520i has superb handling and after 140km 150km/hr its still not panicking like w213. slow warmer. Hee 5. Theres no soft touch closing which is a fuah. The doors are heavier than the w213. Sometimes, the passenger could not close completely. Dang. 6. Theres also missing the passenger adjustment from driver for passenger seat. Passenger has to adjust electrically from his side himself which is a dang too as my w213 has this option leh. 7. 520i comes with the base driving assistant. Like parking and back-tracking 50mtrs thingy. HUD. etc plus harmon kardon speakers. 8. A bit overpriced tbh. Coz its a new car model. The disc is little. 9. Overall. Its still a little nice upgrade over the W213 in terms of comfort and driving experience.
  12. You have another year to go for the coe. Just wait and see. Pretty safe to renew a E200 as there is always demand. Your max exposure is PARF loss and coe depreciation. with a PARF of 25k and assume a coe of 125k. It’s 150k for the next 10years. A brand new e200 will for sure be more probably 280k. the alternative is like what @therock has mentioned sell the car off when it approaches 10years. Some dealer will probably offer you slightly more than PARF. Then downgrade to a cheaper brand new car for maybe 175-200k.
  13. W202 when launch,alot of People already said,no match with W124 E200 Masterpiece...everything look cheap.
  14. Hi guys, just joined the forum. And need some advice as follows: I have a W212 E200 9 years old (bought new) and mileage so far is only 28500km. Traveling job etc hence low mileage but now SG based and still need a car. Am thinking of renewing the COE as car condition is still very good tho the COE now is sky-high! Would appreciate your insights as to whether renewing the COE is a good decision.
  15. in late 2020 if I have 400k I will get S320, the amount I paid for my E200 in late 2020 now can't even get C200...
  16. I don't want to know how much you spent on your E200... but I'm guessing smelly smelly high 4 digits to low 5 digits. Yes, I believe my old girl can last till 2028. It's burning engine oil now but not very severe and no oil leaks, so I'll just do the regular oil top up.
  17. These are typical wear and tear. drive shaft is also a common front wheel drive problem, no big deal . You will smile If I tell you how much I spent on my e200.😅 your car should not have problem lasting till 2028 with some repaire throw in. My altis will be 2029.
  18. There are too many variant of E200 with 145kw engine in LTA Fuel Cost Calculator B E200 SEDAN AMG LINE (R18 LED SR) E200 SEDAN AVG (R18 LED) E200 SEDAN AVG (R18 LED SR) E200 SEDAN EXECUTIVE (R18 LED) E200 SEDAN EXECUTIVE (R18 LED SR) C1 E200 SEDAN AMG LINE E200 SEDAN AMG LINE (R18 LED) E200 SEDAN AVG E200 SEDAN EXECUTIVE Maybe can look at the spec including wheel size to explain why
  19. I don’t think BMW using Aisin/Toyota they only use ZF for 8 speed. My XC60 was on Aisin 8 speed heaven and earth different compared with my current 2021 W213. Finally I got my own answer why last time XC60 250 HP T5 engine Aisin 8 speed version (not ford version) hard to keep up with E200 W213……
  20. C coupe starts from C180. CLE starts from CLE200. It is likely to be E200 Coupe price. This could be the only Coupe/Cab in Non-AMG segment.
  21. Anyway,Modern Cars are getting Heavier..because more Equipments...for example a Mercedes Benz E200..now is 1,700Kg while a W124 is only 1,400Kg.
  22. According to @BanCoeit is US$250,000 so can buy an E200.
  23. Tech moves so fast nowadays. By the time, this is implemented, users would be using a very antiquated system. Many of the features promised by the module would be redundant and if not already redundant. One example is the route suggestion mentioned by LTA which can help drivers avoid congested roads. Hello! Google maps can already do this. I cant believe or should I say I am not surprised that LTA would go ahead with a module that would be an eyesore for in clean design look cars sure as Tesla. And yes, it would look out or place and ugly in a new Mercedes E200.
  24. Ok. Way i figure is if the money is there and the willingness to spend it, go for it. Downgrading means losing the advantages of older but nicer car, for example A 2018 Camry/ E200 for a 2022 Altis, the Camry/E200 would be better drive/comfort over the new altis. Selling a superior vehicle to get a new lower class vehicle? mlmlwml Penny pinching is asking for headaches in the car market here. Then again, we have to do what we have to do. My family member is looking to get a car. I waved it off saying the new cars are atrociously expensive and the used market is scalping --- same year model make higher mileage /> costs more than same new car. If really have to buy, get a new car with the caveat do you really want to spend more for the COE? On top of surging all around costs? Family member can afford a new E200 easy even with high coe. Now look look see see but wont buy. Money hard to earn.
  25. @Ct3833 thanks for yr reply! E200 is asking for min $21K depre nowadays. While E180 can be had for ard $19K depre (before negotiation). So depre gap is ard $2K.. Also, my dad prefers the lower rdtax and lower FC of E180 (yes understand it's at the expense of slower pick up and lesser "enjoyable" driving experience overall) To each his own I guess 😉
