  1. This is J250 or Prado. LC Mini is likely we will not get. If it is produced in Thailand based on Hilux/Fortuner platform, it will start with 2.4L/2.8L Diesel or 2L petrol from Kijang.
  2. Lexus GX is launched today. https://paultan.org/2023/06/09/2024-lexus-gx-debuts-3-5l-turbo-v6-2-4l-turbo-hybrid-on-ga-f-platform-e-kdss-for-off-road-driving/
  3. This rendering based on Prado No imagination
  4. 3 door Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
  5. Prado make it return to North America as Land Cruiser
  6. I don't have 100 days of leave nor 100K to start with. But yah, i will buy a car in JB to start this trip too. The car is freehold! https://www.mudah.my/Toyota+LANDCRUISER+PRADO+2+7+M+3RZ+GX+SUV+4X4+JEEP-95185811.htm 28K ringgit only. hahahaha.
  7. Prado not that big as compared to LC.
  8. Oh I see, thought it’s the similar size as Land Cruiser( like in the pic) that I saw in Aussie a few weeks ago. Then realize Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado got size difference😆.
  9. Not forgetting Land Cruiser/LX, LC Prado, Fortuner
  10. 4th Generation Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J150). This model used to be more popular than the larger Land Cruiser, mainly due to the more road tax friendly 2.7L engine (vs 4.0 to 4.7L on the LC), but it seems that there are more J200 LC on the road than this Prado.
  11. Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with retro body kits, which is an in things around the globe in the recent years.
  12. It was a low speed flip as we were travelling on 4 x 4 low gear on a deep rutted track. The left wheels fell into the rut and the SUV fell slowly. The only injury was a fractured rib caused by the rear seat passengers falling onto the one at the bottom. Can wind down windows, but rear seat passengers still could not get out as no room for passengers to position. And the Prado being wide, the opening became overhead for the short ladies at the back. They could not get out unaided by some one from outside. Prado tailgate is big, heavy and right side-hinged. If fall to the left, tail-gate has to opened against gravity with the big spare tyre weight added. In case of fire emergency, the best way to escape with hindsight would be to smash the rear window and crawl out. The front seat occupants then recline their seat and crawl over to the back and out.
  13. as above , anyone driven before ? comments please

  15. Could be those Toyota Prado kind, while mostly commercial vehicle are 6 lugs, but their rim size always 16 or 17" max, different from Prado, where sot sot people go for 18/19/20. 😅
  16. why do the choices include two open bed "pick ups" (Hilux n Ranger) and the others are closed compartment SUVs? shouldn't it be Fortuner n Everest instead? i've driven the Defender quite a bit during NSF (vocation not driver but had SAF licence + cross country training). Drove both locally and overseas. Have encountered a case where SAF driver got stuck in a ditch in life-firing area n i managed to free the vehicle and allow exercise to proceed without waiting for a tow truck. Also ran out of torque a few times due to overloaded vehicle on long steep road up a mountain. Had to remove some cargo/passengers to go up the mountain LOL. Unfortunately no chance to drive g-wagen then. for work, i've driven n been driven in quite a few workhorses - hilux, fortuner, ranger, everest, d-max, trooper, triton, prado, prado sport (not all same era). Alot of time spent on dirt (when dry) and mud (when wet). Have gotten tail-happy more than a few times and saw a colleague literally slide on mud into a massive flooded canal (vehicle totalled). Given a choice, i'd say refurbish the Defenders and give them a new lease of life. But perhaps not feasible? Otherwise, get the Fortuner or Pajero with the right specs. Or if they wanna do a full customisation, start with Hilux/Triton as a base. It's a pity the new Defender is nothing like its predessor. I agree with some online reviewers that say it should hv been badged as the new Disco.
  17. Latest generation Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
  18. So the WRX is gone after almost 3 years' ownership and in it's place is a 2002 Landcruiser Prado, manual, 3000cc Turbo Diesel...time to go 4x4 driving! :) Mods to come: 1) 2 inch suspension raise 2) More offroad accessories, e.g. winch on bullbar etc 3) Larger tyres 4) Stereo (?)...maybe...
