Will you even consider buying this supermini given its relatively high price with these specs?

Sounds like a lame excuse to mark up the price of such a small car. [thumbsdown]

Rich people will buy it as a lifestyle car, and their second or third car.

Nice and cute to use it for running errands. [laugh]

Is the price finalised? I can't see it on Mitsubishi site. The price is too steep. Almost same price as Colt [hur]

Very popular in Japan because of the price and "potential"... Relatively good FC and best of all, it's a Rear Engine Rear Wheel drive layout.

Asiaone price can't be trusted... Always priced relatively high on Asiaone... Let's wait till the official price from C&C.

FC got the car from sgcarmart PI stated - 3L for 100km = 33.33km/L?

Less less 20% from the specs figure due to extra weight, stop/go road condition plus usage of air-con..it still at 26.66km/L.

This is a damn good FC figure...or am I wrong?

Hmm... is there any use for turbocharged engine on such a small cc car?

With the hp given, still very bad for turbo charged car...too ex already!

This is what stated in the sgcarmart site...wait, let me copy & paste

Quote from sgcarmart PI section

Mitsubishi i was first unveiled at the 2003 Frankfurt auto show. This minicar is powered by a 63-horsepower three-cylinder 660cc turbocharged Mivec engine that should have more than provide sufficient maneuverability in the cut-and-thrust of city traffic. This engine comes with a DOHC cylinder head with variable valve timing and a turbocharger with intercooler. It has an output of 47 kW (64 hp).

The Mivec valvetrain also realizes low fuel consumption and clean emissions over the full speed range of the engine. Fuel consumption is claimed to be only 3.0 L per 100 km. Also, the use of a silent camshaft drive chain and increased engine rigidity has reduced noise and vibration levels.

Cabin space thrown up by its 2,550mm wheelbase is further enhanced by the engine being placed in the rear which can accommodate four adults in comfort. This rear-midship layout provides a sizeable front crushable zone for safety reasons.

Crazy. I don't think even a 660cc motorbike can achieve that kind of FC. [laugh]
