Actually you can. I tried and it did well for me.

Like I took a lift from my friend the other day. He was travelling along PIE towards Jurong on the 2nd lane at 80km/h. Than came a WRX on the 1st lane and was behind another vehicle also travelling at 80km/h. Feeling uneasy and unable to go faster after flashing high beam at the front veh, the WRX cut into the 2nd lane and was at the rear of my friend car. Again, he high beam at our vehicle.

At this point of time, my friend let go all the foul languages [furious][furious] you ever know. I turn and asked him, what for. You have all the windows wind up, speaking all those foul languages at the other driver would not make any different as he couldn't hear you. The only person that hears your cursing is me and you. You are cursing at yourself. Just let it be and he (the other driver) will get his due one day. [whip][whip]

Learning self control is very useful when driving in S'pore roads and thats why I took up fishing. You can wait whole day and not a catch. It just test your patience. [kiss]

Thanks for the article. Very very good & true.

One method I use to control my anger is fast forward thinking, works for me. say if I am angry over something (e.d tea spitted on me), i will say to myself 3 days later will i still be angry, no, becasue i would have forgotten about it. If I can do that 3 days later, why angry now also....hope this help too.

Yea... your friend's reaction was wrong. Why curse at the rear driver who cant hear, when the obvious fault is the car on the left who is hogging lane 1. hit the horn, get the attention of the driver on the left, and show him the finger. Job done! A reaction well executed. [laugh]

it depends, if he has lots of stress from work or family and yet to clear his mind, another bad experience on the road give him an opportunity to yell out his frustration, which i think is good once in a while. perhaps after the cursing and yelling, he feel much better even for the other problems [;)]

Er.... I believe you mean the driver on the right as he is the one on the 1st lane. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Anyway, showing middle finger to the driver on right is also the same as shouting all those foul languages as you are the one seeing your own hand pointing the middle finger. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

That driver, with black thick frame spectacle, just look straight and seem like not interested in what happening around him. (those "Bo Chap" drivers). Maybe because of him that cause the piss-off of the WRX driver and trying to overtake from our lane (2nd lane)only to found out that we are also travelling at 80km/h. [rifle][rifle]

If only the WRX driver had read my article and practise the 90 - 10 principle. He would be a safe driver.

a more realistic interpretation of the 90 - 10 principle is 10% of ur life happiness, 90% misery n suffering; when ur still a kid, life is ignorance n bliss. it stop when u reach puberty and onwards, life is crap; u became obssessed with sex but can do nothing abt it, unless u kar ki lai... endless sch/exam [dizzy], then u start working, work prob, money prob, so on n so forth...until u die which is actually a blessing...

No lah. Use the cash to get the "bait". Dinner, shows & nice gifts wil do the trick most of the time. [sly]

Paid holidays together is also good. [thumbsup] They love to shop while on holiday. Bring to places with good shopping like HK, BKK & such. If u can afford, then can go Paris, London or Italy better.

I guarantee you catch your fish very fast. [nod]
