Kyosho1 Clutched January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 Looking to get a 7 seater MPV. Kinda like the Picnic overall package but its already more than 4 years old. I presume that a model change is due. Searched the web, can't find any spy photos of a new Picnic? Anyone has any news on it? ↡ Advertisement

Kiss Neutral Newbie January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 I'm driving a Picnic since Feb 04, and have been looking for a replacement but couldn't find a suitable one that suits my needs and budget. The Picnic is perfect for me and I'm also waiting for the replacement model. I hope it comes out before Feb 09, when mycar is 5 years old.

Kyosho1 Clutched January 4, 2008 Author Share January 4, 2008 I was reading thru' the forum, and I saw a pic of an MPV being hit by another vehicle from behind. Walau, flat backside - the 6th & 7th seats are part of the rear crumple zone. The car salesman always emphasize that the 3rd row seats are for children - putting my future generation at risk leh. After my wife saw that pic, she wishes that we get an SUV 7 seater instead - Chevrolet Captiva (2.4), Toyota Fortuner (2.7) or Hyundai Santa Fe2.7V6) - all less than 100K. Bleached77 Neutral Newbie January 5, 2008 Share January 5, 2008 Any idea whether BM's Wish would be Thai or Jap made? Heard some rumours it'll be Thai made.
Ahdi Neutral Newbie January 5, 2008 Share January 5, 2008 spoke to a BM salesman b4, he mentioned that the rumors of BM bringing in wish is still a rumors, no confirmation that the wish will come in yet.. i just got a stream for KAH motors. still in the running in period, thus nv whack the engine. consumption is giving me around 11km/litre which is not too bad. power is not too bad either given a 1.8litre MPV. can consider the stream as it is fully made in japan. Kelpie 2nd Gear January 5, 2008 Share January 5, 2008 Mentioned in ST today under Life section, page 8 on " Will Honda overtake Toyota?": "The new Altis - which makes up the bulk of the Toyota distributor Borneo Motors's sales - will be available from next month. Borneo will also have the Wish seven seater this year, five years after the parallel importers introduced the model." Regards,

Macrosszero Turbocharged April 17, 2009 Share April 17, 2009 Could be the new Wish. Anyway, the old model Wish has come and gone from BM showrooms, but there is still leftover stock of Picnic. Quite hard to clear stock for that model, it seems.
