Happened to stumble upon this crash test.

 

Terrible results with the Fiat.

 

Maybe we should start a remembrance service for 500 drivers.

Many ppl dun see the "incompatibility" between the normal passenger car and SUVs/jacked up MPVs.

 

If u look closely and compare the ride height, you will see why they are "incompatible". The frontal crash beam of a normal passenger car is lower such that the SUV's frontal crash beam is not contacting where it's designed to.

Those who like to modify your ride height better think twice before you do so...

5th gear's result is easily understood.

 

However, it should not be an excuse to let the problem exist.

 

All things equal, the Q7 should be tax free to encourage purchase, while the 500 should have a 500 percent tax levied as discouragement

I think the Fiat500 air bags bursted at full inflation? Can see the black hole after it reached full inflation at the steeringwhel point.

Is this normal? Can it really cushion the face since there is no longer 'air pressure' in the bag to absorbe the face!!!

Airbag in general should rapidly inflate, then gradually deflate to prevent suffocation.

 

However, because there's now an Audi emblem marked on the forehead of the 500 driver, he would have suffered critical head and neck injuries.

Its actually not a fair test at all. One is a fullsized SUV while one is a supermini.

 

Even the Fiat 500 which has a 5 star euroncap rating can't fight against the Q7 which is at least twice its weight.

Like I have replied to Watwheels, not being fair does not mean this problem can be ignored.

 

It still exists. These are 2 real cars on our roads, and the chances of them hitting each other is real, especially if you travel on malaysian backroads.

 

Does it mean you and your family's life is less important because you can't afford a Q7, and only a 500? If so, government policies should help to even things out.

did u won the car thru lucky draw, but cannot afford to pay the road tax and petrol?

 

if cannot afford the car then sell it. why need to register it as OPC as tarnish the premium brand name?

 

like the lucky sales guy who won the DBS black card lambo who chose to sell it rather then register it as a OPC as he knows very well he can't fxxing afford to maintain one at that point of time.oh yeah, the main thing is he didn't went and register it as an OPC which will totally tarnish the brand name.

sorry about my tone, seems like this Sturtles got a thing with Fiat500 drivers.

sounds like he's a Q7 driver as well.

saw 1 red plate Q7 sometime back, might be him i supposed.

Though I have not been lucky enough to strike a Q7 in a draw nor drive a red plate Q7, I do not think there is any problem with a red plated Q7. A red plate car regardless of a QQ or a murcielago is perfectly sensible if it suits ones lifestyle.

 

I think you have an irrational emotion seeing red-plated cars as demeaning to a car's brand.

 

If you thought about my replies, my main intention is to bring to attention the problem of such crashes, which is real, and not an unreal world of SUVs cannot hit small mini-hatch. Being in a real world, I suggested using real world policies to encourage singers to buy safe cars, and discourage singers from less safe ones via pap's favourite economic tool, taxes and subsidies.
