Davc Neutral Newbie April 11, 2010 Share April 11, 2010 Hand polished 2 x BMW today, just to maintain the condition, leave the machine. BMW 320 - Zymol AIO alone didn't look good enough, hence top it up with Zymol Concourso. OK, not bad. BMW 530 - Swissvax cleaner fluid, Swissvax Mystery. Used Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax on the wheels, cheap and good. Time and again.....Swissvax really impresses me, on black car. It just hides the defects so well and the shine is just different, haha. I say that after trying so many sealants and waxes. Just that it really is not easy to use. After you rub the Zymol in your hand they becomes like oil, with Swissvax it is still like thick paste....so tough to use. ↡ Advertisement
Kiadaw 6th Gear April 11, 2010 Share April 11, 2010 Isn't the Aymol & Swissvax the ones used by Paul of Miracle details, the world most expensive car detail specialist! Doesn't the Swissvax cost like 6K pounds per tub! You must be damn rich!!!
Davc Neutral Newbie April 11, 2010 Author Share April 11, 2010 They have many waxes at different price. Swissvax starts from S$100+ a pot for the entry level wax, but I'm using the midrange one. I think Zymol also starts at about S$100.00 plus minus.

Doesn't the Swissvax cost like 6K pounds per tub! You must be damn rich!!! Swissvax Crystal Rock (high end) will cost a Fortune. Their entry level will be more easy on the pocket but still a premium price over those off the shelfs.

Davc Neutral Newbie April 12, 2010 Author Share April 12, 2010 I bought mine from Car Do, at Eunostechnolink. 1 year plus ago. But I'm not sure whether they are the only dealer now. The entry level from them is the Onyx, Saphir. Price started I think less than S$140 a pot 2 years ago. Then move up to Best of Show (which I think actually best value). Don't know, never tried them before. Actually depends on what you want. With Mystery I can get those mellow classic look, like slow glow, not the super reflective sealant look. To me this is more exclusive and looks more expensive, haha. Edited April 12, 2010 by Davc

Also under different lighting you will see it differently.

Davc Neutral Newbie April 13, 2010 Author Share April 13, 2010 Davc, can u comment on the durability? The look and beads are durable. I never measure how long. But I think detailingworld.co.uk had done some test last year. Especially the bonnet, the top 3 panels will wear out faster than the rest of the panels. When I last saw my previous W203 (now driven by my younger bro) groomed by Car Do for the last 3 years - The 5+ yrs old car was glowing under the moon light. Davc Neutral Newbie April 25, 2010 Author Share April 25, 2010 Young Bro! When I last saw my previous W203 (now driven by my younger bro) groomed by Car Do for the last 3 years - The 5+ yrs old car was glowing under the moon light. I should have gone back to them by my current ride! The thing about good wax is you see more about the colour of the paint. For sealant you see more reflection, which kind of make the whole car look like mirror. So sealant reflects a lot like a sharp mirror people will say "Very reflective", but wax let you see the car and appreciate the paint job and people say "the body glows, colour coming out lively" etc. Which one is better, depends on your personal preference.
