How much maintenance for Nissan Latio, Toyota Vios & Lancer

Hi all Jap car user users,
considering buying this car (Nissan Latio, Toyota Vios & Lancer)
but need your experts input on the maintenance cost.

how much do you spent on maintenance on your Latio

You might want to try Autosaver or Autoaid, their prices are much cheaper than AD.

Servicing packages are also stated in the webpage so you might want to compare before making any decision.

nissan got the npmp package costing around $1k+ for 4 servicing.

but i guess maintenance for the above 3 cars you mentioned should be around the same.

i remember that the latio's spark plugs are very very expensive.

yap the plug are more expensive.. $100+ if i remembered correctly.. but drive for 5 years plus.. changed once only ..

latio must be using platinum plugs for OEM. No option to use copper plugs meh?

 

The plugs cost $130 and not easily assess to,

cant do your own plug change, tats the downside of latio

This is a good thread. I'm also looking at all the above cars to change to and currently in the lead for me is the Lancer GLX followed by Latio and finally Vios.

 

Any advise?

Neutral Newbie

For latio 4-5 years,

 

change some belt before

every 10k engine oil change

every 40k transmission oil change

Brake pads changes as per required

tyres x 4 changed once

spark plug change every 100k

 

i would say not very high maintenance as compared as you can get stuff from nissan stockist =]
