Nice little review there bro [:)]

I actually like the new front and side profile...

Not too taken by its engine and if only they turbo-charge the fella, I will seriously consider getting one [laugh]

A little suggestion - you may want to drive it in some of Singapore's older carparks and tell us the experience...hahah

I used to own a CX-7 and it was a nightmare getting in and out of Liang Court plus some other older carparks...

i drove it around Bali's rural roads... it was ok... the car actually isn't very big, no probs. in tight spaces

even with big cars, all you need is to get used to their size and with good judgement, most carparks in SG are accessible.

Only car i had trouble with was the new 7 series long wheelbase, had to do a mid corner adjustment to make the sharp turn at a small office dropoff area.

Woah, that LWB is one mutha...hahah

I think it may get stuck in some of the very old carparks like Balmoral Plaza [laugh]

Anyway, back to the X1 - would you buy it assuming you are in the market for such a car? heheh

That's the true test of a review [;)]

Yeap... if i was in the market for that segment of car, i think the price is not too bad...

the VW Tiguan wld have more power but i prefer the "feel" of the BMW.

Interior's nicer too, VW too many parts sharing imo

We were actually also considering the Q5 as a potential replacement...

Although we were quite keen due to its performance (hooked on TC cars these days), we were totally ignored by the PA sales when we went down to have a look see...

We also felt that the interior of the Q5 did not quite match the price tag as well...decided that we might as well keep our CX-7 if we still wanted a SUV...

[wave] your cx-7 will not lose out to the Q5 seriously speaking

Yup, that was our final conclusion...hahah

But in the end, we reverted back to a saloon car

Strangely enough, my younger brother went and got himself a new 2010 CX-7...hahah

So I guess that he was convinced by the performance [laugh]

[inlove] performance is there no doubt other than the heavy FC ...i don't own a cx-7..but driven it for few days from a buddy before it was sold away.

i had good impression with it's weight size and power

If you dont mind the badge, Volvo XC60 is a very nice car to drive. Especially now with the new 2.0T engine (same as Ford's 2.0T Ecoboost) with 6 speed dual clutch (powershift) transmission.

Yup, that's a potential target in the future...hahah

Seriously think it's very chio and it's TC to boot

Currently leaning more towards a coupe (going the way of Voxy28) though :D
