It's not unusual in other countries to cross-breed Conti car with Jap engine.

I have friends in Thailand/Malaysia put in 3S-GTE in Peugeot 405, 7M-GTE, 1JZ/2JZ-GTE in Toyota Hilux pickup and Volvo 740.

Turbocharged

F20C...one of the sweetest sounding engine Honda has ever produced... pity it suffered from poor low end... but put it in it's sweet range, and it'll FLY!!!

Its a waste seriously. Because there are way better engines that the person can put into the car (given that its a Jap show, its obvious they would use a jap engine instead).

I am not playing down the fact that F20C is a great engine. However, the purpose of having an E36 is to be able to throw in a M3 engine. At least a 3.2L S50B32 engine. Then rev it to 8K RPM. IT will be very sweet and smooth with the sweet sound of a 6 potter.

LOL....I like the sound it produces. The modified tacho is actually quite funny to watch. A lot of effort must have gone into fabricating the engine mount to allow the engine to fit in the bay. But it's kinda doesn't make sense to fit the engine in a heavier car. Dunno it's consider an upgrade or downgrade. :D
