Neutral Newbie

I used to visit this workshop many years ago when I got my 1st car. I know the owner personally as he is from my church. Many of my friends used to go to him for servicing. However, most of them have stopped going to him anymore. Draw your own conclusions, as I don't want to bad mouth anyone.

-$130 throttle body cleaning

I never trust workshops, so if I were you, I'd stand there to eyeball

ATF Fluid is about $8/litre & workmanship $15 to change.

To flush they would probably put in a lower grade oil first which should be <$8/litre, so you do the sums and decide

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but $130 for throttle body cleaning is way too expensive for a simple spray and wipe job:

ATF - if manual oil drain from sump will be cheap. But if ATF machine is used, this amount is reasonable. First change of ATF fluid will be used for flushing, and the second change to replace the fluid.

For Honda, cleaning TB can be quite tedious and time consuming b'cos gotta take a nbr of parts out b4 can clean TB and then put back parts again.

thorough TB cleaning (including removing the whole TB from the engine bay) for S$130 is way-over the moon...

Yeah.... this is my opinion too.
