Imo, Amaron last too long to reach that state.

Other battery failed long before corrosion even get a chance to start.

And the main culprit I believe, is overtighening of the terminal.

This causes stress in the plastic seal for the acid gas to escape and cause corrosion.

if what you said is truth, IMO Amaron should improve the Quality instead on blaming others.

But honestly speaking hardly see battery got this kind of corrosion even on those batteries 2 to 5 years old

yes pouring hot boiled water will help to remove those white powder, but if you do not do so when you see could be too late to know the clamp all eaten or broken [knife]

Learned from my mechanic, just pour hot water on terminal if crystallize.

Everything back to normal. Just hot water will do the job.

And then put some petroleum jelly on it so it cannot corrode.

If dun haf I think can try ky also.

:D

Hi Jack,

I had similar case about 9 to 10months ago. My car battery also die when i try to start in the morning when going to work.

So i called up the onsite service from the internet and came with Hitachi MFX battery. There was no other choice as well.

He also replaced my car with 40b19L on my Honda Jazz. Till date still serving well.

I think anyhow, Jp battery on Jp car will be compatible. Hitachi also have their own factory in thailand and did a lot of OEM battery for car makers in Thai from what i heard through my workshop.

So, sometimes it depend on luck as well. I had experience with a korean battery but died again barely 7month later.

Hi Lawrence,

What you say is so true - as with too many things in life - luck does play a part.

Yet as some of the folks mentioned elsewhere in this thread, Amaron is better.

We think so - and certainly the majority of the taxi companies (and the military) thinks so too.

.. I'll say that luck has to do with the "probability of failure over a large number". And in this score, Amaron does well.

One more suggestion I have for you is that when you call for battery service: Be clear and ask for Amaron (or any other brand you like/want. You are the customer and you have the right to your choice.

This is what we believe at FastFix. We believe that everybody has the right to their choice and we work hard to be your choice. Feel free to visit us at www.fastfix.com.sg or our Facebook at www.facebook.com/FastFixRescue

PS: We focus on Amaron batteries only. Do you know why? Amaron gives us our happiest customers and we get the least problem with Amaron batteries. :)
