Hi all, any users with the fore-mentioned tires?

Seems like a big improvement over the RE003 in many aspects-(base on my usage on 2 different cars -Levorg (previous ride) vs Octavia (current ride)

  • Drive handling
  • Noise reduction
  • Wet handling
  • Stiff tire wall
  • good wear rate vs likes of Pirelli Pzero and Michelin PS4

Just wondering why not much write up about this.

How is it comparing to s007a?

Probably will change tyre this year. So considering this or the s007a.

I am now on RE004.

I will give my honest review on this. Even thou I am a hardcore Bridgestone supporter.

Bought this at South east tyre, and comparing it to the RE003, I find the thread pattern of the RE003 more fierce-looking. This is more subtle. Some ppl like, some ppl don't, But the thread design has some science to it also. So cannot blame the tyre designer for not making it sportier.

This is a Thailand made tyre, the price point is very reasonable. One thing I can really appreciate. I was previously on S007A, Japan made. The performance in the wet is top-notch. But the wear rate is very high. So after changing to RE004, so far so good. The wear rate I can only update after 10K. I think I am only at around 5-7K on this tyre.

One thing I like this tyre is the side wall. It is hard. Hard in a good way. It gives my car more response and also I feel more "road" with the hardness.

And the Re004 performed well in the wet. I will say is as good as S007A. *I don't drive very fast when raining.

Noise wise, my car quite noisy alrd. So noisy tyre to me is nothing. So I cannot give a verdict on the noise of the tyres..

My verdict for this tyre is a Sure-buy. Until Malaysia border reopen and I can go track. Then RE-71RS will be more ideal. hahaha.

Wonder how is the performance of this RE004 vs GY F1A5?

didnt try 004 before. but base on previous 001-003 review. i would say  potenza got more stability. all potenza sidewall extremely hard

best guess is it will lose out on noise and wet braking.

aysm5 wet braking is extremely good across many test.

@kobayashiGT I totally agree with you on the side wall.
noise wise i also never affect me much as i usually have my radio or spotify to drown out the droning tire noise

Price is indeed cheaper than the 007A and that tire is really hard to find man!

@Mits_jc yes since the Tom Yum Land and their quality has improved a lot- my last Re003 could have lasted me 45k Km but i itchy itchy go change to GYA5 to try but regretted as it had softer sidewall. However the wet grip solid vs the current Re004 but better than re003 which its an older design tire from 2015

@Stratovarius 007A quite hard to find these days and the price fluctuates a lot
go with the 004 (mind u i not sponsored ah lol) the value and price is bang for the buck and another alternative is GYA5 which is made in germany but softer side wall

@shawn207 I used the GYA5 on the levorg before i sold it, the side wall was a little soft for me vs the RE004

I see thanks .. is the wet grip for the RE004 not good? Cos am undecided between both tires at the moment (pricing similar, RE004 slightly more)

RE004 more common at most tyre shops, easier to find. Currently on S001, also a good tyre.
