Supply drop, price sure increase, i think will definitely break the $50k mark for Cat A. Those who didn't buy when it was in the $40k region...too bad. wait another 6-8 years.

Would like to check with you on why the second hand car market has been so lethargic over the past 1 month. Is it temporary due to Covid-19 restrictions or have Singaporeans completed buying their used cars for this year?

Up I guess

Based on the very slow used car market i think COE will drop. Price reductions are going on in used market. Unless the market for used and new cars have decided to move in opposite directions for some reason.

I placed my car for consignment for past 5 weeks at a very reasonable price and not a single viewing. The number of used cars are piling up.

SG got 2 types of car buyers.

Got money or no money.

Got money type go AD put down deposit.

No money type come used car dealer ask this, ask that then say I will think about it and never see them again.

New car and used car is like branded perfume and 3 bottles for $10 type.

Both are perfumes and both smell nice.

But ladies that buy the branded perfume $70 - $100 type will never buy the 3 for $10 type.

No matter how reasonable the used car price it cannot move while new cars are flying out the showroom.

@Nav14 guess also have to depend on the model of the car

How did you arrive at this conclusion? I have been watching a small sample size of PARF cars < 3 years left have been selling relatively quickly...

The price probably not reasonable to others ah? I bought my car at 7.5k depre brand new 1 year ago. Now all the same model is 8k or 8.5k depre for used. Many got 20k/year or 40k/year mileage somemore... So the price for ALL of said model is not "reasonable" as you would call it... =D
