Toeknee_33 Turbocharged January 17, 2007 Share January 17, 2007 UK is the world's largest market for RHD cars (Japan is also RHD but they dont import that many cars) and was Lancia's biggest RHD customer. However Lancia's sales declined through the 80s and 90s as UK buyers have a long memory and cannot forget the Beta's ill reputation for unreliability and its propensity for the bodywork to dissolve in the rain, although the Delta/Dedra/Thema were very good cars. So Lancia decided it was not worth their while to R&D and tool up their factories to manufacture a small number of RHD cars and thus withdrew from RHD markets, including Singapore. The last Dedra was sold here in 1996. I have fond memories of my beloved Thema 16v Turbo. ↡ Advertisement
