Hello all,

I've seen quite a few cars on the road sporting some sort of license plate that reflects rainbow colours. Example (taken from stomp): http://static.stomp.com.sg/site/servlet/li...e-thumbnail.jpg

Seems illegal right?

But according to LTA guidelines at http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...ence_plate.html

if the vehicle licence plate is made of reflex reflecting material, the front licence plate will consist of black letters and figures on a white background, and the rear licence plate will consist of black letters and figures on a yellow background.

So technically speaking, it SHOULD be ok since it conforms to regulation. There's nothing in there that says the license plate CANNOT be coated in such material.

Anybody using these plates got pulled over by TP/LTA before?

The reason i ask this is coz i the other day i saw a car with 1 of these plates, and just nice a TP bike was beside. The rainbow reflection was quite strong but the TP rider didn't do anything. So either TP doesn't care but LTA does, or the rider just didn't give a fk.
