I am not sure if this is caused by weak battery.

My car will jerk slightly when the vehicle is stationary at the traffic light, steeping on the brake. I tried to turn off the aircon and don't experience that jerk.

Is this due to weak battery or ??

Does anyone have the same experience? Thanks

Try this.

At night on low beam lights n run engine at idle. On ac n switch on turn signal.

Does yr speedo lights dim n bright as yr turn signal on n off. Then yr batt getting weak.

Or press horn also hear sound change tone also batt weak.

If you crank your starter motor at least twice to fire your engine in the morning, likelyhood your batt is almost end of life.

Exception if your spark plug is above recommended mileage.

Secondly, listen to the crank motor sound, a sluggish crank also indicate weak batt.

Thirdly, if your batt is already more than 1.5yrs, it time to change

Unlikely due to a weak battery.

You can try out what bro P69 & TCX607 had advise in post#7 & 8 and test it out.

It sounds more serious than weak battery...

The car is under power for what ever reason. Perhaps the fuel or the air intake or the spark etc.

Turn off aircon will draw less power from the engine... therefore no jerk.

So, you need to bring your car to workshop. I suggest...

The jerk cud b caused by ac compressor cutting in n out. Maybe it needs to b adjusted.

Go Markcool at woodlands indl pk E1 n see Ah Huat. He e best person to diagnose fault.

One side of my HID bulb ocassionally does not lights up when car is running with accessories and aircon.

Battery is around 2yrs plus old. Is this some kind of weak/failing sign?

If I inist not to change battery , will it damage my Alternater in long run?

I mean just keep jump start and jump start....Battery age is about 2.8 years old.

So inconvenient to jumpstart all e time. Just change a small cheap battery more practical.

I dont think it's due to battery. Just send it to the workshop to have it checked. I think the power window mechanism is faulty.

If you have problems cranking up your engine, then it's a sign of low batt :p
