Maserati has detailed the engine lineup for the upcoming sixth-gen Quattroporte.

Upon launch it will be sold with a choice of a 3.0-liter V6 and a 3.8-liter V8 engine. The twin-turbo six-cylinder generates 410 HP (310 kW) and has a peak torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). It enables the new Quattroporte to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).

The larger V8 generates 530 HP (390 kW) and 710 Nm (542 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph run in 4.7 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 191 mph (307 km/h).

Both engines are connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission which weighs 4 kg (8.8 lbs) less than the outgoing 6-speed transmission. While the V6 variant will be sold also in an AWD variant (excluding right-hand models), the V8 comes only in RWD guise.
