What is considered a brand new car? Usually when you guys collect your brand new car, what is the mileage? Can an AD sell a car that has been test driven till its 150-200km mileage without informing the buyer this car has been test driven a few time?

Bought a new car in Mar, mileage <50. My previous car, a demo-unit at discounted price, was <500.

well, most ad will said:

from factory to warehouse ... km, from warehouse to port .... km from port to ship ... km

and same thing to the destination:

from ship to port ... km, from port to warehouse....km, from warehouse to collection place/ showroom .. km

just make this as experience, unless you want hire $10k lawyer, if u collect 100km on mileage as brand new car, nothing you can do.

if you only talk to country manager, bang their table, the most they give you 1-2 year free service labour + part with agreement you can not share the story in local forum.

so next time, when to sign the sales agreement, need write max mileage is how far, else same story again from here to there .... km , etc, etc...

Should be under 50km...cos from the port they draw your car out...need to send for PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection). Usually if you install anything...it will be done during this period. Unless you are driving a rare car...usually the AD will arrange for dealers to go to their place for installation. Only rare cars they will send it out cos low volume. And usually tow instead of drive.

I collected my current ride with about 70km on the odo...ask the dealer and they told me my car send for PDI twice...once when Motor Image deliver to Hua Yang...and 2nd time when I bought the car from Hua Yang...they send it in again to clean up the car (cos it was park there for a few months)

If you want 1km on the meter also can. Just tweak it.

Then all AD should just tweak to 1km and sell their cars all brand new, what's the point of even selling it as demo or test drive cars?

Yah lah the AD should have the decency to tweak back to maybe 16km

so that they new owner feels like he is driving a virgin car

instead of one that did 200-300 km.

No need to hire lawyer.

Just use social media and name and shame the AD.

People will think twice about buying a new car from AD

if they think the AD is going use as a demo model or go for

joy rides.
