Ad information

The FPX 4.800 is a very compact 4-channel amplifier with a power of 4x120 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms. Offering a 4-/3-/2-channel mode, stable at 2 Ohms and equipped with an active crossover for each pair of channels, the FPX 4.800 is the most versatile model in this range. Thanks to its very high power, this is the ideal amplifier for powering front and rear speaker drivers, or for hi-fi installations with a 2-way kit in the front and a subwoofer. The 2-/4-channel input modes ensure compatibility with head units only equipped with a pair output lines. The high power and musicality of this amplifier will ensure you get the best out of your high-end speaker drivers from our Performance line.

  • 4-/3-/2-channel Class D amplifier
  • 2-/4-channel input modes
  • 4-channel amplifier - 4X120 W RMS
  • Stable at 2 Ohms
  • Active crossover for each pair of channels

For an amplifier to provide high power and musicality, efficiency and heat dissipation are two essential qualities. In order to optimise these aspects, FPX amplifiers have been given a thick aluminium chassis (3/8″ / 9.5 mm for the top, 11/16″ / 17.5 mm for the sides). The distribution of the components on the motherboard was also carefully researched to optimise the cooling capacity of the chassis.

The careful selection of each Class D component (switching power supply, oversized toroidal transformers and high-quality capacitors) has made it possible to create powerful but ultra-compact amplifiers offering excellent musicality.

Extremely Versatile

Thanks to its 4x120 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms and its compact chassis barely bigger than half a page of A4 paper, the FPX 4.800 is an ideal solution for a wide range of uses.

In bridged mode, it delivers 2x370 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms, enabling it to power a significant subwoofer channel with channels 3 and 4. It is also stable at 2 Ohms (4x185 Watts RMS) so it can also be used for powering different types of speaker drivers. In order to perfectly power the speaker drivers, each pair of channels is equipped with an adjustable active crossover from 50 to 500 Hz: high-pass, low-pass or wideband. Channels 3 & 4 are equipped with bass correction. The 2-/4-channel input modes ensure compatibility with mid-range head units only equipped with a pair output lines.

What Makes the Difference

  • A compact and versatile amplifier
  • Optimised heat dissipation
  • Extremely versatile
  • Remarkable power/performance/price ratio
