I had always wanted a more crisp sound and component speakers in front were the only way to go. The ESK 165.5 were priced really well. Installation was simple with the instructions printed right on the box. The wiring is configured so that you can not plug anything in wrong. Also, there is plenty of factory wiring installed on the component "brain box" to mount your cone & tweeter anywhere on the door panel you need to. The quality of the sound is very good. I am running a basic head unit with iPod interface through my dual-channel amplifier. The speakers are rated properly for my set up and they 'bump' just fine. This is not a hi-end stereo but easily blasts past any factory set-up. I recommend these speakers for a mid-level system that is not pounding too many mega-watts. Also they do come with a 1 yr warranty.
