huh? car bang pmd is car at fault? wouldn't it depend on the nature of the collision? pmd bang pedestrian, pedestrian at fault? https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/pmd-rider-who-caused-collision-with-pedestrian-sentenced-to-probation-and just saw this https://www.tnp.sg/news/singapore/pmd-rider-charged-over-injuries-lta-officers

since so many people (both in and out of MCF) feel so strongly that that cisco guy did the right thing, did anyone offer to support him financially while he is under suspension? anyone offer legal advice/support to him to sue LTA for wrongful suspension?

yes LTA/cisco need to revise their ROE and issue baseball bats and/or bamboo poles to their enforcement teams n announce loud loud to deter pmd fm trying to zoom past. If this fails, issue firearms n announce free-to-fire. so this particular pmd rider tried to siam but failed due to the cisco guy going above the call of duty and risking his own limbs to stop him. Did the subsequent investigation find that he was involved in a serious crime or a fugitive?

mine are not hypothetical qns cos there are people using fake plates. See the bukit batok thread. See the bmw thread. See the msia clone car news. your qns is hypothetical as I don't own nor use pmd. Well, except for my own two legs.

agreed. But why don't we speed off if get caught? can't be because we are law-abiding right? I think it's because we know if we speed n get caught, there's no point in running away because on top of committing another offence, there's a high likelihood of getting caught eventually due to licence plates + cameras. if we were running with no plates or fake plates and there's a good chance to not be caught ever by camera or road block etc, then will these drivers still stop when asked to by TP? that's the quandary with managing pmd users. How to identify those errant buggers if they zhao? they know they can outrun the LTA enforcers with little/no chance of getting caught later. is drastic action used to stop them due to the severity of their offence? or due to the difficulty in catching them later? at the end of the day, I think it's best to blame LTA for not pre-empting the mentality of pmd users in SG and for not taking the necessary steps in a timely manner to mitigate the frequency and results of selfish, anti-social behaviour by some pmd users.

their quality is really questionable. Some stuff can buy, some no point. Msia stores (mr diy) are bigger n cheaper but also selling the same type of products and I doubt that is real 3M...

I don't think anyone is disputing that the pmd rider was in the wrong i'm glad that mcf people are so law-abiding and never break the law, never go above speed limit in highway/road/carpark etc.

stupid biker. Could hv stopped n passed the police a 100B note and then go off. I've seen it happen many times up in north thai where drug smuggling is rampant.. police stop, the driver passes something to the police at the checkpoint n is waved on. btw https://www.pattayamail.com/thailandnews/ombudsman-royal-thai-police-found-to-be-most-corrupt-11502 https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1647420/former-cop-who-exposed-police-corruption-shot-dead

firstly, that is no police. It's merely cisco. secondly, riding pmd is not an arrestable (seizable) offence. Not evading arrest but evading summon. thirdly, is it reasonable to assume that any pmd that try to run away is carrying a bomb? if yes, pls use your car to ram them down to save us.

I don't hv another solution to stop the bugger with less force. But was it necessary? We are assuming there is no other way to get to the bugger. Our CCTV no use? refer to my other post above abt the guy that ran away fm a car with illegal plates. He was caught a few days later (and with drugs). This is a more worthy candidate to be whack down on the spot but he wasn't. In the end, the law still caught up with him. https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/police-seek-driver-bmw-suspected-false-plates-involved-double-hit-and-run https://singaporeuncensored.com/man-behind-fake-bmw-car-plate-arrested-suspected-drug-trafficking/ The takeaway fm this cisco vs pmd issue: if u ride pmd illegally, u better try your best to siam the enforcer on the spot, cos if u manage to zhao successfully, they have no other means of catching you.
