  1. those 4-5 people that whack him were also exercising their freedom of expression. How come they don't agree with his Freedom of expression? this type of argument neverending.
  2. anyone know which old HKG movie this is from? saw it a long time ago and thought it was nice. Can't recall the title now.
  3. comparing apples to oranges here... 2 wks reservist vs 2yrs full time NS but agreed, not sure why so much media attention on him. Perhaps due to the many local football fans here.
  4. Can (or rather, should) they ask countries with extradition agreements with Singapore to detain him and extradite him to Singapore? It's been done before for criminal cases. This will surely curtail his playing career.
  5. on a related note https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/southeast-asia/article/2182413/mahathirs-malaysia-bans-all-israeli-nationals-events-it
  6. depends on the style. indo (Javanese)/malay type usually has lots of sugar (esp the sambals). Example will be the nasi lemak chili. That's why its sweet. not sure abt Chinese style or thai style chilis. bottled chili probably has some sugar in it too. Have to check the labels on the bottle.

Najib Announce VEP for Spore cars!

if I recall correctly, the RM20 is road charge, ostensibly to pay for the EDL, whether u use it or not. VEP is not per entry, despite the name.
  8. not unique to HKG. Even Shanghainese tend to look down on other PRC people who are not from Shanghai. Also, Singaporeans look down on Msians that come to SG to work n ride their bikes around, causing traffic headache Msians look down on Singaporeans for going JB to pump cheap petrol Human nature la

I sometimes meet friends at Kinrara R&R for this http://satekajang.com.my/ Their main shop is at Kajang but they have made a name for themselves by putting branches at various RnR around KL. Probably not the absolute best Kajang-style Sate but good enough and convenient. They have a good variety of different meats, apart fm the usual chicken, beef, mutton etc. Sometimes got rabbit sate. the branch at Jenjatas Ayer Keroh sucks though.
  10. not impossible actually. In many countries, bridges have weight restrictions for vehicles. Not saying it was the case here but it's a possibility. Need more info to ascertain the root cause.
  11. Happened in Genoa too... https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2019/feb/26/what-caused-the-genoa-morandi-bridge-collapse-and-the-end-of-an-italian-national-myth

yep traffic violations, parking, etc. But it's not LTA's baby. Msia trying to do the same with VEP (collect all summons before foreign vehicle departs)

so it has to be purely based on the cameras at the ERP gantry, coupled with Licence plate recognition tech.
