As a guide, need to see what is the depreciation of a new car(of same model) and price it slightly lower to see if you can sell it off.
Does not make sense for buyers to look for old car with higher depreciation of a new car.

How is the radio reception and audio quality of i30?

I do encounter fogging at rear lights during rainy days. Usually will clear up after 1-2days.Does anyone has fogging problems with their rear light cover and FM radio issue? The FM radio music lacks of clarity, sometimes clear, sometimes blur. Happen on and off thru out the journey. I wasted 30mins of my time talking to the maint manager who keeps telling me that it's a norm across all subaru cars. I'm definitely not the first to complain but seems like there's nothing he can do. Anyone can advise?

I m having the same petrol consumption as you. Driven for 1yr FNA on "I" modeHi All Bro
Have been driving FNA for over one and a half months. I have already clock about 3500 km since day 1.
I will top up the fuel tank full on every last day of the month and have a constant fuel level condition for calculation.
Base on my driving habit and about 65% HW and 35 % city road condition, i can achieve about 9.6Km /Ltr to 10 km/Ltr.
Compare this to my last Lancer EX GT, the consumption is about the same. I believe the FNA fuel consumption is decent acceptable.

New car getting scratched is normal but within few hours is... [smallcry]
Anyway, take my advise, dont bother with the scratch unless its so deep till the metal parts and could cause rust issue. After a while, you will get used with it. I think all new car owners had such lousy experience before.....
Totally agree!
by the end of 10years, car will still be due for scrap.
as long as the scratch is not posing any potential rust issue, just let it be.
who knows after touching up, maybe another scratch will pop out? *touch wood*
Never ending one.

the first scratch is always the hardest to accept.
I hv learn to accept the scratches as adding character to my car.
One way is to wait for car to pass the 3yr mark and do a respray to clear all the marks once and for all.
But by then, all these scratches no bother me anymore.

Actually, new car paint is really paper thin.
One slight brush will also result in scratches.
-
Bro, sorry to hear about it.
Do you have a dash cam which is quite a standard nowadays?
Able to do minor touch up?

AD won't bid too aggressively cos it will eat into their margin unless they desperately need to clear stocks.Agree, if next 2 or 3 rounds touch 65k, dont say PI, even AD cant secure.

It's very clear that gahment will not allow COE to drop below $40k (barring unforeseen circumstances).
They have two tools in place.
1) relaxing of loan rules (1st line of Defense)
2) COE clawback (2nd line of Defense)
Low Coe will trigger early scrapping of cars which will result in gahment having to cough out $ back to these owners.
Accounting wise, it is very difficult to do budgeting.

In before someone saysWorking very hard bro. 60k coe very satki :S
high COE = less people buy car
LOL

The higher the coe price, the less people can afford a new car. Since old cars also expensive, they take public transport.
LOL, not again on this reasoning that high COE price = less people can afford new car.

actually high or low coe has nothing to population going down. it is the quota that LTA release that has an impact on the car population. high coe is a result of demand more than supply and generally a result of low coe quota release. If LTA continue to release quota at a growth then car population will not go down unless they do negative growth then will have effect. again nothing to do with COE prices. again coe prices is a result of coe quota release.when u have more coe ... generally coe price will be lower as more than demand.
hi Heman75,
Just praised you.
Don't bother explaining that high COE prices does not equate to lower car population as some people just don't get it after so many rounds of clarifications.

scratch head now ... shall i just give it up this time round ? but seems next coe bidding will also went up ... my SA very iron teeth ...
i think 20k for your 8yr old Altis is on the low side.
2year old car got demand in the resale market.
Suggest you look at what price dealers are selling for a similar aged car like yours to make a gauge.
-
Cars quota is fixed right. Whether coe at $1 or $100k still congested.
I think you are one of the rare few who understand that even if COE drop to $1, the supply is still fixed and will not result in more congestion.

Okie I will once I pop by..... but likely wont be so fast....
How about Subaru XV?
Drive shld be quite good as it is AWD and fc is reasonably decent and MIJ.

When ppls mentioned expensive upkeep & maintenance, how much are we estimating?
If it is just 10k extra, I can live with it. If over 20k extra, then this car will be out from my equation to keep this mistress.
Anyway, I only consider this car very good looking at interior, exterior I prefer QQ with my ideal purplish blue colour. The exterior of Picasso remind me of Mit Colt plus
One consideration is road tax as u r comparing cat a and cat b cars.
The price difference can be $600 or more just for road tax.
This will equate to $6000 over ten years.
-
Yap. All crow are black but I need to select the blackest among the 3.
Go with thw QQ for lowest running cost and FC. Design is nice too!

Bigger COE supply may also mean bigger demand as ex-owners who de-register their cars will most likely come into the market to look for replacement cars.
Actually, COE is a lagging indicator of the stock market.
When the stock market correct starts correcting heavily, that is when one can expect the COE to follow few months after.
Looking at the stock market performance, it is unlikely we will see drastic softening of the COE prices within the next 3mths.

Government should even out the supply over 10 years, so every year is equal chance to replaced at that market price.
Like that means OCS will need to be implemented so as to even out the supply during the famine years.
COE Bidding 1st Round of May 2018
in General Car Discussion
On the other hand, PHV cars are required to bid for COEs.
