If you always drive alone and light weighted, then small engine cc car will be good for fc. But if you are having heavy load all the while then it may be the same.. cos i see clio only 1090kg? And small engine with turbo tend to stress alot on the turbo.. becos of the lack of bhp. Ended up repair cost very high.. Anyway elantra is a reliable car.

Only transmission and engine is 5 years.. Battery is 2 years Other electronic i remember is 1 year.. but it could be 2 years correct me if i am wrong please. carbon won't accumulated easily if you use quality petrol and service regularly (change engine oil / air filter) most important the addictive is to be poured in the petrol. So that it clean the combustion area.. I cannot deny higher rpm will blow out more carbon out. But at the cost of the wear and tear rate. Like the piston and the cylinder cleanerance will be bigger. And loss of power will occur. Especially in a torque surge where you require alot of power out of sudden. Eco mode is to prevent and protect it..to make your car last even longer. That is for people who really drive alot miles in our 10 years COE. Our car is high tech and mainly control by the ECU.. even if you floor it, it doesn't mean that more fuel / oxygen is producing out because the ECU is controlling it.. Of course the engine is to design and withstand higher rpm. (Max 6.5k) But in general 2k is average and reasonable. It applies to flat road only and not climbing.

I think 5w30 is good for all time summer country like singapore for NA engine.. for lubricant at the combustion chamber and piston area.. Too thin will increase the wear rate.. especially for those people like to rev higher. Not neccesary 2k rpm will have high FC.. because elite model got eco mode. It will upshift gear faster than normal mode.. which may not lose out in terms of speed. And it restricted sudden torque surge that will waste alot of fuel / unburn fuel. Which may be ended up poor in overtaking.. Could it be your ECU restrict or badly timed the combustion during acceleration because some things has changed? A small experiment you can check on your oil is to look at the dip stick when the engine is cold & after 1 hour of driving.

Ya but the warranty is only 1 year.. my car is 1 year & 1month liao Camera also change to iroad v9. 3k / 3.5k rpm the engine sounded quite harsh, although you can really feel the power of it + the reponsive make you wanna go even higher. But i think long run will have more wear and tear right? Although compare to turbo cars, NA engine have longer life span due to lower heat emitted.
