  1. It looks like you were speeding. There is no way for the truck in front to see so far behind for a very fast incoming car.
  2. Many delivery men are from lower-income families so they do need the delivery job to sustain. Hence, they are very upset with the sudden ban. The majority are law-abiding but they are sabotaged by a minority who created the accidents or went against the law.
  3. There are a lot of BMWs driven by young guys who weave in and out of lanes at high speed.
  4. Taxi firms speed up switch to electrified cabs According to new Land Transport Authority figures, there were 7,259 petrol-electric hybrid and 133 full-electric cabs as at end-September, nearly 40 per cent of all taxis here. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/taxi-firms-speed-up-switch-to-electrified-cabs?cx_testId=20&cx_testVariant=cx_2&cx_artPos=4#cxrecs_s
  5. The reason why the blue Vezel changed lane from 3 to 2 so quickly was to avoid the cars joining from the left slip road (18-sec mark). However, the camera car chose to switch from lane 2 to 3, which is quite dangerous i.e. doing the opposite. If the camera car driver is more experienced on the road, then the change in lane should be done after the left slip road.
  6. My take is the risk of serious injuries and fatality with e-bikes and bicycles on the roads is a lot higher than on foot-paths. The victims could be the riders or the pedestrians at the crossings, or drivers who bang into negligent riders. To date after announcing the e-bike subsidy, MOT/LTA still have not announced any framework to control the riders' behaviours on the roads e.g. theory on road usage and demerit points etc. Hence, we are waiting for bigger and more accidents to follow.
  7. Even a slow 50 km/h car crash will cause an un-belted child to become a projectile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2-_fSRT18o I was involved in a 3-tonner crash many years ago as a passenger at the back (before SAF implemented seat belts). A crash at 50 km/h sent the entire group of us crashing into one another with painful bruises. Fortunately, we were not carrying rifles. Once you are in a car, there is no safe speed. You can be a safe driver, but other drivers may not.
  8. E-bikes are just as deadly. Driver jailed over accident that killed 2 e-bike riders https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/driver-jailed-over-accident-that-killed-2-e-bike-riders E-bike accidents rising https://www.torque.com.sg/news/e-bike-accidents-rising/ Man turns himself in for e-bike hit-and-run https://www.tnp.sg/news/singapore/man-turns-himself-e-bike-hit-and-run E-bike in accident was so fast that 'I thought it was a motorcycle' https://www.asiaone.com/ebike-accident-was-so-fast-i-thought-it-was-motorcycle
  9. On the contrary, all the PMDs riders ferrying kids to school I came across had been very careful riders. It will be more dangerous to fetch kids on e-bikes or bicycles as a slight knock on them by vehicles or if they accidentally slip could result in fatal accidents. There is a good chance the e-bikes could be used on major roads for food delivery, and major road accidents are much more unforgiving.
  10. Expect more road accidents with these food delivery. I'm not sure why MOT did not consider those who are not doing food delivery but use them to send kids to school for example. The poor decision and knee jerk reaction to protests show how bad policies are planned these days by the political party and ministries.
  11. E-scooters might be banned from park connectors too if there are too many accidents.
  12. The taxi driver is clearly at fault for swerving into the other lane.
  13. It will be possible for many pedestrian paths to change to shared paths. The government may back track on this ban.
  14. LTA has bungled in the e-scooters control. This resulted in serious injuries and deaths due to collisions and fires, public unhappiness and inconvenience among the public. Just before this was the problems and eventual collapse of the bike sharing companies.

    Mitsubishi Attrage.

It is likely due to your foot adjusting to the car's characteristic. Fuel economy should be calculated based on average of a few trips since different pump attendant tops up full tank differently.
