You probably need to have the ECU reset. Check with your usual workshop if they have the computer to reset Alphard's ECU, call them to your place may be cheaper than towing there. But first, do confirm that your battery is indeed re-charged to full. (or tap to another battery to see if those issues can be activated)

Spec says 1.88. Anyway, tested through Taka at 1.90 height. I think most entry specify the max vehicle height clearance.

What's Aero version? I meant the Aero kit with 2 squarish chrome in front. Was told most 8 seaters are sold for commercial use.

I have yet to see any VF with Aero kit on the road.

My dealer don't even know if mine comes with this feature or not? How to know?

Yes. I actually find the pre crash safety feature quite interesting. Not sure if its practical though. I was looking into the spec sheet for both Vellfire and Alphard, wow! there are so many models and different code for both cars!!! Is ZG=SC? Do you think it is neccessary to install addtional battery for the many stuff that will be added in? Addtional stuff like front/rear camera, TV, GPS tracker, lighted scuff plates, additional USB outlets, etc. Am also enquiring on the Modellista kit now. Not sure if it'll give enough clearance since its attached on.

I think the most obvious one will be the left side blind spot mirror which BM doesn't have it.

I rem new, old, PI/BM all comes with start/stop button. Anyone know which are the carparks to avoid for VF? SA say min clearance is 1.9m.

I test drove the BM VF before deciding on PI. You need to compare the ZG package against BM's Executive (anyway, BM's VF only got 1 pkg). Few reason I go for PI (my first PI car) 1. 10K cheaper (but OMV is 6K lower). 2. I get to choose the leather colour and even can customize with 2 tone leather. 3. free front/back cam, mobile tv, ceramic coat, all round scuff plate and other stuff which BM also offered. 4. incl body kit (but this is subjective, kit looks a little bold, but we like) 5. Better HU (Alpine with i think 11" roof mount screen). Go try BM's InTouch HU, you may not like it. Their roof mount screen feels crapy. 6. Warranty/service is 5yrs 100K. BM i think 5yrs 60k, got free servicing? Of course, BM's warranty gives you peace of mind. But being a Toyota, i'm not too concern. I thnk maybe you got confused with Richburg's Executive Lounge version. That's a 3.5L version. Its pilot seats are different from the rest.

all round cam cost 30K?? Still waiting for my ZG spec VF. Am looking for this all round cam (satellite camera). We test drove both the old and new model VF, somehow, the new VF felt more car-like and noise level also much lower. Anyone know why is this so? Does the dual vvtic really make a diff?

Anyone tried to lower the height for their Alphard? I was recommended to change to lower profile tyres (which I worry will make it more bumpy). Or, change to Tein adjustable suspension (anyone know how much it cost?)

Mercedes E200 Advantgarde or Lexus ES250

I have to agree. I still have my E250 which is a 4 potty cgi engine. Initially need to get use with its loud engine and road noise since i switch from a Lexus. But over the past years, i find that it is the most reliable car we have ever had. We kept it for over 6 years now and longest period ever owned. I think the new 7G should be smoother. Other than yearly servicing, we have changed 1 battery, tyres and recently its air con filter.

    Convertible/Roadster vs coupe

I use to have a cabrio when my 2 kids are still young, easier to load them into the child seat behind. Always have other driver or passenger waving at them when the top is down. But there are times we have to struggle trying to strap or carry them from the seat when the roof is up.

I have had a GS before. Now my wife drives a W212 (E250). To be frank, the GS cost a little more in term of repairing/maintenance. Merc once after my first 3 free service we never return to C&C. Typical service once a year and cost the same as any japanese car.
