erm ... it should be the other way round ... you get huge huge tax incentives and almost pay next to nothing for corporate tax for 10 - 15 years hor ....

1 main condition is that you have to buy most things from SG registered companies ...

tiagong this "local expenditure" requirement is a scam.

e.g. a trading company can inflate it by "sleeving" their charting requirements thru an sg company. Like if you wanna charter a ship from some greeks, you ask your friendly sg company friend to do it, then you charter from your sg company friend for a small markup. tada, local spending.

from a country perspective? not much. Except help lead the investigation. SG/MPA has been pushing for years for such vessels to register under SG flag. Not surprising for an SG-flagged vessel to be involved in an incident outside of SG waters.

liabilities will sent to P&I club. Perhaps declare force majeure. Ship registry state, ship owner/operator/charterer rarely bear the full costs.

implications for Baltimore will be a lot more significant. Blockage of main waterway, loss & repair of span (bridge) etc. Not to mention the loss of life.

    i'm glad it's not terrorism-linked.

Why? What does singapore get if flags register under sg flag?

The defence minister of germany stated that the particular general used an unsecured webex app to join the video conference call. The german military guys use webex but is a tweaked version to secure it and with servers in their own data centre.

The airshow was a magnet for russian intelligence surveillance because of the number of top military officials in attendance.

This is just the germans' claim lol. True or not, who knows?

Also, why does their secured sever allow unsecured webex connections?

Of course i read various sources and definitely like u say this issue is gray zone affair but the Palestinian to keep saying Israel take their lands is kinda moot rite, considering the lands there change hand so many times since ah gong time, anyway i won't discuss further considering there r muslim bros here, peace out 😄..

Wah like that one ah? Then Russia take back Ukraine is also equally justified?

Johor sultan take back sg also can right?

Someone... Ahem...  was pissed off with the roaches infestation around his chute opening, even though he's at high floor. Every time open his chute can see a few crawling at the inner walls. His solution was to tie a few joss sticks together, suspend it to the chute lid, close the lid and let it burn. The smoke did remove the roaches but must do it once every few months.

However, one time one of the still  flaming sticks fell down the chute and smoked entered everyone's kitchen in that column.

He learnt that the rubbish chute is heavy of very combustible gases....oxygen, methane, hydrogen etc.

Had to pour water down or SCDF would have come and fined... ahem...him...

how scdf know it is him?

For tax reasons, US companies prefer share buyback to paying dividend.

McD share price has almost doubled in 5 years, so I am sure the shareholders are happy with the cost cutting which will allow the company to make more money and do more share buybacks.

I also prefer buybacks when buying us shares. dividends taxed at 30 percent. capital gain no tax!

I'm anti subscription for almost everything. Netflix I guess is still worth it.

I paid one year for Dropbox premium but went back to free after that.

I guess Google drive/photos and Icloud subscription is worth it for Android or Apple users.

i'm subscribed to turkish netflix. occassionally i subscribe to iqiyi for 1 month here and there, watch the shows then cancel it next month.
