At its core, the 2017 CR-V adopts a more powerful version of the Civic's 1.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Blessed with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque, it has 16 extra ponies and 17 extra torques on offer compared to the compact sedan. The flipside is that peak torque is available along a narrower part of the rev range, from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm instead of the Civic's broader 1,700 to 5,500 revs. This will be the standard engine on all but the very base CR-V, so Honda’s estimated 75-percent take rate makes sense.

Goodbye Qashqai , we got a new winner here.

  2. Complain about the price because it's a Honda , but you guys should know that the NSX nameplate is not like a new thing ? it has some legacy inside it.

Talking about badge is an invalid argument , people who don't know cars would think that this is an expensive car for sure eventho it has a H badge on it (change to acura if you want)

If people who know cars will not base their judgement on badges because it's a NSX.

  3. Legacy of Honda is now the end. we will miss their naturally aspirated engine. no more 1.6l that put out 160hp. no more 1.8l that put out 195hp. no more 2l that put out a whopping 240hp they have gone to the turbo path,in the past they are really a masterpiece yet they build fun little cars , all car makers are going turbo now..

    RIP Honda and NA engine

  4. Few questions which come to my mind on this leak:

    1) Is this the Asian version or the American one?

    2) This concept sketch if true looks rather oversized for a 1.5l car, more suited to 2l?

    3) Abit sad that Honda now goes the turbo route as they do make some of the best NA engines

previously (this strictly my personal opinion only)

We shall see but definitely an upgrade on the poorly received current model which lacks the appeal of the previous FD series.

    1. If i am not wrong the 10 gen civic is worldwide even for the hatchback version so could be the same design and we could get the hatchback version of civic , we got the hatchback version previously but its only available in type t if i am not wrong right?

    2. pictures could be deceiving

    3. agree with that but lets see if they could make the best turbo engine in the market for now? also good for road taxes

  5. Current 7 drive is not too bad leh (considering its size). But it is true most of the owners are uncles. So, I also often associate it with ah pek-ness

This extra drama makes them acheiving #1 sales worldwide in luxury market.

next you will see they will have another "drama" for the 5series

7 series they say is the world first kind only selected audience can see the reveal

3 series they have worldwide live streaming online for the reveal

so what they gonna do for the 5series [grin]

  6. I remember i saw the new 7 series somewhere someone posted online , very ugly . worse then current looks for me.

I dont know why whenever BMW always make new models for their flagship car , need so many stun , like what so secret about it.

remember when the new 3 series was out, there were live streaming , world premiere and etc .

you dont see Merc do this.

  7. I hope they will change name for different market like Vezel in Japan and HR-V in America , its a nice car but the name Jade .... no goal..
