  1. Probably from factory to the port and up the ship.

Then they also need to drive up for the solar film and whatever misc items installation.

Yea. At least for myself, I prefer getting facelifted models which has most of the issues rectified by then while not being too outdated in terms of design.

At least for this Avante, I waited for a year for the facelift. Haha.

I find the stock tyres rather decent for comfort and noise level.

Initially thought of changing it to Bridgestone upon collection, but decided to stay put since the tyres are not that bad.

Insurance I believe they will do adjustment after you register your car.

I know those who got the Elantra has a higher mileage clocked in some cases.

In fact some bros here have seen brand new Hyundai driven around in trade plates at Sin Min area.

Actually, the concern is more on how your new car was handled before it was handed to you rather than mileage I feel.

Should be number plate on the 18th and COE starts running the same day. :D

Stock tires decent for noise level?????

    U travel a few more k then u comment....

My AD using same tires......not even 10k old....I Bo Simi eh tahan liao

  2. Yes is possible to add on. But outside of komoco. I checked the price about $180. For the steering wheel control also can add on. About $120. But is genuine parts i Guess. I believe all the models have the features, just that donât have the wiring or button

Where can I do that? They change the panel near gear lever there?

  3. Mine recently ECO mode appeared, the car become less powerful. Went to KMC and they did a reset. Probably take an hour or so.

It seems that only basic got this issue.

Any S managed to 'unlock' sports and eco mode via 3rd party switch?

Maybe got cheat code? (Not kidding, E90 u press dunno which buttons at specific sequence will unlock more options)

  4. This applies to all cars... the warning light tells you 'low fuel, top up'... it doesn't tell you 'no fuel'... in fact I believe that the fuel gauge is also conservatively set as you always seem to clock less mileage after the needle hits the 50% mark as denoted by the gauge...

Same for trip computer... I have ever driven until my trip computer said 19 km left... the warning light lit up when the fuel gauge was left with one bar, and the trip computer said 61 km... I continued driving until the trip computer said 19 km... I topped up 65 L only... my tank is 70 L (Sonata), and my average fuel consumption is 10 km/L... so that gives me at least 50 km more but the trip computer conservatively estimates 19 km left... I have also done the same thing with a Jazz (which does not have a trip computer)... I drove on for 100+ km more after the warning light came on... at the end of that trip, I topped up and found the tank had 9 L left based on tank capacity and what I could put it at the pump...

Erm.....I am talking about different thing ....but nvm
  5. No problem for the Iroad Q9(using for 1 year+).....HP dashcam from KMC is bad....

Around 1.5k-1.6k.........because its 0% NCD...for my normal car plate

That USB port below the HU is mean for sync with your HU for Android Auto/AppleCar Play....

The charging current for that port is ard 500mA...

IF you need to charge use the other USB port located at the middle arm rest

Middle arm rest port can get 2amp?
  6. Thought they should drive out the car to the basement carpark for easy collection? How come the collection is at level 4 where all cars are parked closely together?

My SE drive me all the way to the front door before handing over the keys

  7. Avante is the Korean market name plate... but Elantra is the international market name plate... I have no idea why there's this ping pong game with the names of these cars by the Korean brands... seems rather idiotic cos you're diluting branding which you took lots of efforts to build up... I don't see this in the US & European markets where the naming convention for Korean cars don't change on every model change or facelift... weird... really weird...

I guess kmc used the Elantra to differentiate this from AD and MD, just like how the Avante got changed to Elantra from HD to MD

    It really doesn't matter.

The Altis is known as corolla in some countries and Vios is known as soluna in some countries (BM used to name them that way)

  8. No point to pay more (a few K) for fancy features if they are not related to safety & performance aspect.

    It's like insurance...

I quote one of my favourite speaker, Dr Andrew Goh:

You get it when you don't want it so you have it when u need it

  9. I think dont have to b so particular about paintwork. Use for 10 years n throw. I have used this model for close to 2 months n i have not washed nor shampooled it. I just hope no breakdown for these 10 years

My past cars even left a few month I take care one
  10. Am I the only one that find Elantra’s paintwork lousy?

Look at it from certain angles, you will notice it’s not very smooth. Even after waxing, cannot get the mirror like reflection....is always uneven, this is especially prominent on the roof, can see the reflection of the overhead light like crooked .

I see a few Elantra’s all like that. Other brands like ok
