  1. This incident was so intense that it kept my eyes peeled on the screen for the entire duration of the video. Watch this attempted hit and run here: What Happened? This incident occurred at Woodlands Avenue 1. While at a red light, a Honda Airwave emerged from behind but could not brake in time. And as a result, he rear-ended a stationary motorcyclist. Another motorcyclist dismounted and came forward to check on the motorcyclist who had just been hit. At this point, a left-turn only arrow flashed and the taxi in front of the cam car drove off, leaving a gap between the cam car and the Honda Airwave. Having spotted the opportunity to flee, the Honda Airwave driver decided to make the run for it. The cam car driver sounded and honked to alert both motorcyclists about it in response. You could tell how nervous the cam car driver was - he managed to honk until his car's honk got stuck (which caused some unnecessary honking throughout the video) and his accidental wiper spray and wipe. Having realised the Honda Airwave was making a run for it, the good Samaritan motorcyclist hopped onto his bike and sped after the Honda driver, revving the hell out of his motorcycle! The cam car driver and the motorcyclist caught up with the Honda Airwave driver within seconds. What happens after this remains unknown, but the traffic police were likely to be called in. Netizens' Comments 👏👏👏 Cam driver panic lah... HAHAHHA LOL. This comment made me laugh! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  2. I was quite impress with Honda Airwave ( from internet pictures ) in the past. Today I saw a Honda Airwave parked next to a Mazda2 today and felt like : 1) Honda Airwave is just like an extended Mazda 2. Too small. 2) Question on its ability to pull 7 adults. Any Airwave owner care to comment ?
  3. The new 2015 Honda Jazz Shuttle has gone on sale in Japan. Based on the Honda Jazz or Fit, depending on which part of the world you are in, the Shuttle is a stretched version of the Jazz and is meant as an replacement for the Honda Airwave and Honda Fit Shuttle. Styling wise, it adopts the brand's 'Solid Wing Face' front grille seen on the rest of the Honda cars like the Jazz and the HR-V. Mechanically, the car is offered with either a hybrid variant as well as a normal petrol variant. The hybrid variant uses the brand's familiar Sport Hybrid i-DCD powertrain which is made up of a 108bhp 1.5-litre i-VTEC Atkinson-cycle engine, a 28bhp electric motor built into a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox, and a lithium-ion battery. Total output is said to be 133bhp and it will be able to do 34km/L when driven wisely. Meanwhile, the petrol 1.5-litre direct-injection DOHC i-VTEC engine gets mated to a CVT gearbox and produces 130bhp. Both variants are available with all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Like its predecessor, the new Shuttle seats five and has a boot space of 570 litres. With the rear seats folded down, the length can be extended as far as 1.84 metres which also corresponds to a luggage space of 1,141 litres. The car also offers a flat floor and is equipped with two basket on the backside of the rear seats. When not needed, they can be folded flat.
  4. Even though I change to new coils and plugs. It also lack power and it seem that the petrol flow is inconsistence. My jb mechanic suspects that the fault is due to the injection stage. Anyone knows where can I clean or change the injection (oil mouth)? Yours inputs will be very much appreciated.
  5. Hi Guys, I'm currently planning to get a 2-3yrs old Airwave as my family has 6persons which could be kind of squeezy for a normal sedan. Noticing the small population of Honda Airwaves on our sg roads, is it possible if i can invite Airwave owners to share some feedback on the car? Details such as Fuel consumption, Interior Space, Interior and exterior design, benefits of a skyroof vs non-sky roof and ride quality will be very much welcomed... Thanks!

  22. Dear Airwavers, I am thinking of fixing a bike rack on the tail gate of my Airwave. I hope to carry 2 adult bicycles but could not fit them into the boot (i have 2 child seats at the back). Need some advice from those who have experience: a. Is the bike rack safe? Will it be road hazard? b. Will the bike rack or bikes damage the back of my Airwave? i.e. will it dent the bumper or tailgate or create scratches? c. The rack I intend to buy costs $45/- and is commonly used. Any specific brand that i should or should not buy? d. Any experience to share will benefit me & family cheers
  23. Saw one yellow top airwave yesterday at junction of Serangoon North Avenue 5 and YCK RD. I guess should be the CNG type.. Wonder when will the stream version comes?
  24. MCFers, Honda Airwave at s$65988 is it too expensive. My fren seeking opinion on this car and whether its worth the buy.
  25. I like these 2 models very much, considering hard for my future new car for my own. Both are 1.5L, Airwave boast a large booth and large interior leg space. I like the model with skyroof esp. Vios only plus point to me so far is its price ($49K). Any brothers here can help make a comparison? Esp their power, FC with reference to their weight stuff? My friends told me Airwave being larger and more room but with a 1.5L engine should have high FC compared to Vios. Is that really true? Thanks brothers!!
