      BMW Z4 as decoration?

I think it is pretty cool to use an old car for decoration. 😍 Thoughts on this?
    3. This is probably one of the most luxuriously decorated bus stops in Singapore. The video showcases a bus stop decorated with potted plants, statues of white elephants and, get this, a yellow BMW Z4 Roadster. Yep, you read that right – a yellow BMW Z4 Roadster just sitting there as part of the decor. I don’t even know where to begin. Whose car does this belong to? Why is it just sitting there? Does LTA know about this? How did the owner come about with this idea? Where exactly is this BMW located? Sitting at 3 Chin Bee Avenue, the yellow car decoration is thought to belong to the company P’art 1 Design. According to the company’s social media pages, it is responsible for providing display lights for different festivals and events throughout Singapore. This includes the Hari Raya light display at Geylang Serai, the Deepavali light display at Little India and Christmas displays for malls. While this Google Street view screengrab did not feature the BMW (as it is taken in July 2020), the white elephant statues indicate that this is the exact location that is featured on the viral video. Netizens’ reactions Honestly, as long as it’s legally okay for the owner to place his vehicle there, I don’t see the harm in using this car as décor. It's obvious that it's not in use anymore and it certainly brings more vibrance and life to the area by being a cool statement piece. -------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 4. Look very sleek and just like a mini 7 series, minus the controversial monster size grille.. The car's shark-like front nose appears to be sitting lower compared to the current model to lend the 5 Series an angrier look without the odd split headlights of the next 7 Series, X7 facelift, and X8 / XM. A subtle spoiler integrated into the trunk lid can be seen as well, while the dashboard appears to be fully camouflaged. It's likely a sign the cabin will be completely revamped, possibly by adopting the dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch driver's display and a 14.9-inch infotainment as seen in the iX and i4 electric models running on iDrive 8.

    6. Saw this.... Front wheel drive.... oh man... but at least it does look like one of the sportiest MPVs around... http://paultan.org/2013/12/16/bmw-2-series-active-tourer-completely-undisguised/ Will you buy?
    7. Hey guys, i'm contemplating whether to renew one of my company's BMW 523i F10 Highline. Below are some of the mods/upgrade i'm intending to do if i eventually get the car. Assuming the car is in 100% stock condition, i'd like some advice on the dos & don't from fellow tiong chia hia dis. 19" M sports Rims (What is the best tyre profile?) Shock Absorbers/Suspensions LCI Headlights ( The squarish headlights instead of the stock round ones.) Keyless Entry + Electronic Push Button (Not sure whether it comes with it?) M Sports Steering Wheel Chip tuning (Increase Torque/Bhp. Understand from some friends need to change Air Intake or something like that.) Quad Exhaust (LTA Friendly?) Interior change to Maroon (Any Idea where can find for this 10 Year Old Bimmer) Brembo Brake Kit (No idea what is 4 pot or 6 pot and which is sufficient) Key FOB (Any idea if can use the latest gen G Series Keys to Sync on an F10 Key?) Upgrade on display I'm also intending to do my own servicing + changing of filters. Need some advice on the type of EO and Filters for better performance.

    9. Here's a rare occurrence - A BMW driver actually using his signal when changing lanes! Maybe it's because of who's behind him? Watch the full video below to find out more! The incident took place along Paya Lebar Road, at the junction of Arumugam Road, before Caltex station. A rare occurrence A BMW 116i can be seen in the video, using his signal lights, and changing lanes from lane 2 to lane 4 to turn into Caltex. However, behind the BMW is not just one, BUT THREE TP ON THEIR BIKES. NGL, but the sight of TP bikes on the road somehow cause anxiety to road users (Touch your heart, don't say they don't). Definitely a head-turner As the BMW hatchback changes lanes, honking from disgruntled road users can be heard. You can see all three TP officers staring and observing the BMW. Luckily for that BMW driver, he wasn't stopped by any of the TP for his actions. It must have been one stressful drive. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Netizens' comments LMAO NGL the BMW driver is either ignorant or not experienced enough to "chu pattern" in front of three TP behind him. 100% Agree, being gracious and courteous goes a long way. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. All BMW owner thread

Hi everyone, I'm starting a thread for all BMW owner. So we can share everything inside here. I'm currently driving G30, cheers and have a great weekend!
    11. When you are driving/riding and someone is in your path, you give way or slow down right? Well...not for this guy. Watch this 10-second clip to see his hazardous riding: The incident took place along Sims Avenue. Cam bike's intentions backfired The cam bike submitted the video above, intending to shame the elderly pedestrian for jaywalking. However, things took a turn when netizens started calling out the cam bike for his dangerous behaviour, and some even roasted him. What happened? The cam bike rode along Sims Avenue at a relatively fast speed (compared to the other vehicles around him). After he rode past a lorry, an elderly pedestrian in striped clothing can be seen crossing the road from afar. But instead of giving way to the jaywalker, the cam bike rode extremely close to him ON PURPOSE and gave the uncle a rude hand gesture. Netizens' comments Self-owned, nuff said. Motorists like the cam biker should go to hell. Straight-up facts. It doesn't hurt for cam bike to slow down or give way to the elderly pedestrian. Also, can you imagine how shook the uncle was at that point in time? If it were me, I might have to change my underwear. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 12. Volkswagen, BMW fined $1 billion for colluding to make dirtier cars. https://www.theverge.com/2021/7/8/22568356/volkswagen-bmw-daimler-emissions-cartel-fine-audi-porsche-eu "Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler spent years illegally colluding to slow the deployment of cleaner emissions technology, says the European Union, which is dishing out fines as a result.... ...The scheme described by EU authorities is separate from the Volkswagen Group’s massive Dieselgate scandal, in which the company installed software on its diesel vehicles that helped fool environmental regulators into believing they were compliant, when in reality, they were polluting far more than the legal limit. Dieselgate ultimately led to nearly $40 billion in fines, buybacks, and legal fees for the Volkswagen Group. Daimler also installed software on some of its diesel vehicles to cheat emissions tests and has paid billions of dollars in fines. BMW was careful to point out Thursday that, unlike the other companies it was caught colluding with, it had not cheated emissions testing." 13. Here's footage of a camcar unleashing his fury onto a probationary BMW driver after he was recklessly cut off while making a left turn. According to the video, the incident occurred on Saturday night (July 10) at Bugis (Middle Road) in the wee hours of the morning. The video starts with both vehicles turning left, with the camcar being in the middle lane and the BMW being on the extreme left road. As the camcar turned, I noticed that his vehicle had eaten into the left lane, which elicited a honk from the BMW driver. After the camcar had adjusted back to his lane, the BMW suddenly switched into the middle lane recklessly, which angered the driver and led him to hit the horn. The bulk of the video comprised the haughty exchange between both drivers. The camcar driver was verbally bashing the BMW driver for his turning technique, and the BMW driver defending his actions. Even though it was wrong for the BMW driver to perform that reckless lane change in a fit of rage, the camcar driver was not entirely in the clear as he did not correctly turn into his lane at the start. Netizens’ reactions The internet was divided on this issue, with a majority asking for the camcar driver to share more footage from the incident. A few bashed the BMW driver for his recklessness. . . while a small minority focused on the cyclist on the right, who appeared not to be wearing a helmet and was on the wrong side of the road. TBH, all of this could have been avoided if both drivers would chill and talk things through properly. Also, with a P-plate, the BMW driver should have known better than purposely creating trouble on the road. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. [Spyshots] 2022 / 2023 BMW X8

This Coupe styled SUV is suppose to be even larger than the X7, and come with an unusual tailpipe layout... The first sighting of the sports activity vehicle to slot above the BMW X7 happened last year, basically confirming that the biggest of the X models is indeed coming. However, Bavaria hasn't confirmed its arrival yet nor has it confirmed that it will indeed be called the X8. Expected to become the new flagship BMW SUV, the prototype here was spotted at the Nurburgring. Despite the bevy of claddings and concealment to hide its design, there are several cues here that tell us that this isn't the facelifted version of the X7 that we saw recently. The front looks flatter than the X7, while the bonnet has prominent lines and the lower intakes have been reshaped. The headlights are positioned lower than the current X7, though this aligns the alleged X8 with the upcoming X7 refresh in terms of headlamp design – albeit the X8 isn't showing any sign of a split-headlight design. And yes, the massive kidneys found on the X7 will likely appear on the X8 as well, given the spy shots that you see here.

      BMW 2 Series Coupe (F22/F23)

The BMW 2 Series Coupé is the quintessence of automotive individuality and creates its own class. The revolutionarily sporty design exudes motion even while standing still. Its radical dynamics with a decidedly lively rear-wheel drive and a high degree of comfort in the exclusive interior round off the uncompromising driving experience. It is apparent from the very first moment: when you take your seat behind the wheel, there is only way to go – straight ahead. Wild, rebellious, unique. The BMW 2 Series Coupé has everything that defines a sporty coupé. Its unmistakeably athletic design emphasises the driving dynamics that make it the best in its class. Perfectly-balanced 50:50 weight distribution, powerful BMW TwinPower Turbo engines and the intelligent BMW EfficientDynamics measures all define the coupé. Its dynamics culminate in the M240i, an engine capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in next to no time. Faithful to its slogan: Less rules. More performance. Laid-back look, compact proportions – the first-ever BMW 2 Series Convertible. Its extroverted design language with short overhangs, powerful contours and a muscular rear reflect its self-confident nature. The Luxury Line, Sport Line and M Sport packages as well as a comprehensive range of Original BMW Accessories add further spice to this character. The BMW 2 Series Convertible follows nobody; it strikes out on its own. And the BMW M240i is even more impulsive. With its M Performance TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine, it unleashes the dashing side of the BMW 2 Series Convertible and not only speeds up the airstream, but also takes driving pleasure to a whole new level.
    19. Will be officially unveiled on 8 July, but you get to see it first here in MCF. Photos above are for M240i. @ER-3682, from what I read, it would still be offered in RWD. Stay tuned for more info.
    20. This concept was shown early part of last month, and there is only 1 reason I did not post it till date: Its ugly nose job, which I hope it is an one off design effort, BUT... BMW Concept 4: Chris Bangle Come Back, All Is Forgiven BMW has previewed the design of the forthcoming M3 and M4 with the launch of the BMW Concept 4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It shows that the new 4-Series will be a radical departure from its predecessor and have a face dominated by a kidney grille so big it could swallow two children. If only Chris Bangle (who, at the time, got his fair share of flak) was still designing Bimmers… The German car manufacturer’s press release appropriately starts out by discussing that grille. According to BMW, “the vertically oriented grille fits seamlessly into both the proportions of the front end and BMW’s illustrious past” and it evokes classics such as the 328 and 3.0 CSi. “The kidney grille has always been a signature feature of BMW cars,” added head of BMW Design Domagoj Dukec. “The BMW Concept 4 presents a confident and classy take on this iconic feature. At the same time, the BMW Concept 4 offers a look ahead to the expressive face of the 4 Series range.” Looking past the vertical kidney grille are slim and aggressive laser headlights as well as huge air intakes to gulp down air. The Concept 4 also features particularly expressive sides and slim, two-section mirrors that are partly finished in polished aluminium, as well as 21-inch wheels with a five-spoke pattern. As controversial as the design of the front may be, we suspect people will be more accommodating for the rear fascia. The most noteworthy feature out back are the flowing LED taillights, an angular bumper with a gloss black diffuser and large, rectangular-shaped chrome tailpipes.
    21. Another odd design luxurious sedan in the making? At a quick glance, it shout Peugeot, to me. The next-generation BMW 7 Series has been caught once more, hinting at a completely redesigned exterior concealed under many layers of camouflage. Those simple headlights are likely provisional as they seem to have a basic look, but the original 8 Series-esque placement and shape is likely the final one. Tiny rivets on many parts of the body indicate the 7 Series prototype has more than just one layer of disguise, so it's best not to jump to any conclusions about the car's exterior appearance. As for the interior, the first thing you will notice are those side-by-side screens akin to the setup you'll find in the iX SUV and i4 Gran Coupe. In those two fully electric vehicles, the instrument cluster measures 12.3 inches and is accompanied by a larger 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment running on iDrive 8. Much like in the EVs, the screens are housed within a massive piece of curved glass slightly tilted towards the driver. It’s going to be a long wait before the next 7 Series will hit the streets as production reportedly won't start until July next year.
    22. A BMW M5 was caught speeding recklessly and beating the red light along Still Road on Wednesday (June 9) night. The 39-second clip shows multiple views of the speeding vehicle from a camcar that was at the traffic junction. According to the Road Traffic Act, drivers caught speeding will be awarded demerit points and a composition fine. After watching the video, there is no doubt that the BMW had exceeded the speed limit. Drivers who are caught exceeding the speed limit by more than 40km/h would receive 12 to 24 demerit points, along with a mandatory prosecution in court. Additionally, beating the red light will incur a fine of up to $400 and another 12 demerit points. With the recent news of actor Gurmit Singh receiving an $800 fine for speeding, I had expected Singaporeans to be more mindful and to avoid speeding on empty roads. Netizens' reactions Honestly, the few minutes that you save on your trip is not worth the consequences that come along with it. Be it an exorbitant fine or a potentially fatal car accident, you would have wished that you didn’t speed in the first place.

      New 2018 BMW X3

New model. Apparently. Doesn't it look like the old X3? http://www.bmwblog.com/2017/09/13/2017-frankfurt-auto-show/
    25. I created this thread just for the BMW 3 series, many threads were opened on variants of 3 series but I thought be great to have one just for the 3 Series variants. Ever since I had a E46 I have always loved the 3 series more than any car I owned. This video sums up what this model is all about, practical, well balance, well sized sports saloon. I'll do a write-up on a ride soon enough. Hope other owners do the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ildXLLfm23o
