  2. Its finally here, the Bentley Bentayga... Combining unparalleled luxury with effortless performance and everyday usability. With an all-new W12 powertrain, the Bentayga is the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world. It offers a true Bentley driving experience and showcases innovative technology features. Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe, the Bentayga’s styling is pure Bentley. Sculptural with an elegant, timeless execution, it perfectly balances athleticism with confidence. From the four round LED headlamps and large matrix grille, to the distinctive power line and muscular haunches, the Bentley DNA is apparent throughout. The Bentley Bentayga boasts the world’s finest automotive cabin, with unrivalled levels of precision. The detailing in metal, wood and leather – including meticulous tolerances between elements of trim – is the epitome of modern British luxury. This level of perfection is only achievable thanks to the exceptional craft and skill of Bentley’s colleagues in Crewe. An all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine is at the heart of the new Bentayga. The mighty 12-cylinder unit combines efficiency and refinement with ultra-luxurious levels of power and torque. With 608 PS (600 bhp / 447kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb. ft) delivering a 0-60 mph time of 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds) and a top speed of 187 mph (301 km/h), the Bentayga is the world’s most powerful and fastest SUV.
  3. The very first production Bentley Bentayga, the catalyst for one of the biggest investment programmes in the company’s history, today left the assembly line at Bentley’s iconic headquarters in Crewe, UK. Four years on from the initial concept stage, during which time over 1,500 UK jobs have been created, the car - part of an £840 million investment programme - will now enter full production, with deliveries to customers starting in January 2016. Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors, said: “Bentley Bentayga will be the benchmark against which all other SUVs are measured, defining a new segment – the luxury SUV. The first production Bentayga, finished in paint colour – Anthracite – was handcrafted across 130 hours. During the assembly process, the car passed through a new bodystore, a new paint shop and a new assembly line, all part of this substantial investment. Michael Straughan, Bentley’s Member of the Board for Manufacturing, addressed the company’s 4,000-strong workforce as the car was driven from the final production stage. He said: “This is a proud moment for the entire company. It’s been four years in the making and is a celebration of a sector-defining British handcrafted car. “Bentayga is the Bentley of SUVs, with a level of attention to detail only achievable thanks to the outstanding skill of a British workforce that blends exceptional craft and skill with modern production techniques and materials.”
  4. Bentley may be considering a coupe variant of its upcoming Bentayga SUV, according to a speculative report based on executive comments. The Bentayga has not yet been formally unveiled, but the company is said to be already looking down the road at the next model. Chief executive Wolfgang Duerheimer suggests the clear possibilities are an entirely new model or a new variant. "The growing segment is SUVs, Convertibles are going down. Sports cars are going down. Saloons too." The comments have been interpreted as a sign that the next mystery model could be a coupe-like counterpart to the Bentayga, though previous rumors have pointed to a three-row package as another possibility. The latest information also appears to contradict strategy hints dating back to mid-2014, when Duerheimer hinted at a new two-seat sports car or another traditional car model to follow the SUV launch. Adding additional body styles would allow Bentley to take advantage of the $1.2 billion development investment in the standard SUV. All variants are expected be built upon the same platform that will underpin several other next-generation VW Group models, ranging from the Volkswagen Touareg to the Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7. Another option in the Bentayga family is not expected to arrive until at least 2019, three years after the initial SUV hits the road.
