  1. Hi all, I'm a newbie here first time buying car. Im interested at elantra, avante, vios and shuttle. What's the reasonable price for the cars and how much depre to look at? My wife prefer PARF Car but yet to view any yet. Im OK with COE car. But now COE damn high, Used Car also follow COE price.
  2. This thread will focus on the upcoming facelift model 2019 Elantra [update on 26 Jun 2018] [update on 12 Jul 2018] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_3Q1YmUX6E
  3. 2021 Hyundai Elantra About to Get Dramatic Redesign Like Sonata Stay tune for more info.
  4. Is all new model. So I create a new thread for everyone to comment and discuss. If COE drop below $20k(although very unlikely). Will this become best selling model again?
  5. Seeking for advice, any pointer would be much appreciated!! Tried googling but can only find US update site... Thanks!
  6. Browsing through the Elantra thread, it seems that more people are buying this model rather than the Altis. There seems to be more new Elantra than Altis on the roads as well. I can attribute it to the vast price difference between the two models. VES is one factor that is against the altis. Also, the specs of this Korean made car is superior than the Altis. Is this the year where the Elantra reign supreme and become the best selling car in Singapore? Is this the time where the Altis is finally dethroned by the Elantra? Or maybe Altis will still retain its top selling crown? Afterall the Toyota brand has always been associated with reliability. Lets have a healthy discussion on this.
  7. My current ride will be scrapping in December, am considering between the Elantra S and Cerato EX not ruling out other options looks the Jazz 1.5 The Hyundai is at the tail end of its current facelift with 2019 model already announced. Whereas the Cerato is a brand new facelift. Was actually quite biased against against Kia before yesterday as I totally hated the old Cerato, forte, and k3. So my test drive for the Cerato was pretty biased also. Until yesterday after I paid a second visit to Hyundai, then decided to pop by C&C just to look at the c4 cactus, the Cerato was parked outside. The more I look at it, the more the looks grow on me. So went inside the showroom again, have a sit inside the Cerato’s cabin......is like totally win the Elantra many times over. I don’t reallly mind the exterior of the Elantra S but I find the interior very dated. The Cerato EX cost more, but the equipment level is close to the Elantra elite. Weight wise, the Elantra is 100kg heavier Engine wise, the Cerato is using an older generation engine. (This is my main concern) I test drive both cars, but am unable to get any head on conclusion as I went to test drive the Elantra at leng kee and the Cerato at ubi. I don’t know is it psychological, but the Hyundai felt smoother and picks up abit easier. The additional 50l boot space of the Cerato doesn’t concern me much.
  8. Hello Guys, Does anyone know of any good repair workshop for rocker panel damage and how much it cost? Thanks in advance!

  10. Just bought a used Hyundai Elantra 2011 model. Left about 2 years. So far quite a comfy drive. Pumped full tank about closed to 40litre. Not sure how much distant it can cover though. Any Elantra users here to share more info and your good and bad points?
  11. which one do you think is more value for money?
  12. This week we had finally had chance to test drive 2019 Hyundai Elantra. With 1.6 multiport gasoline engine and CVT, let’s see if the Elantra 2019 has what it takes to compete in compact sedan market. Ex Boxer by Riot 4,620x1,800x1,440x2,700 (lengthxwidthxheightxwheelbase) 1.6 Gasoline(123ps/6,300) (15.7kg.m/4,500) CVT / Front Wheel Drive Competition: Kia Forte, Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla https://youtu.be/YFUmGgOWA34
  13. 2 weeks old Hyundai Elantra. Scratch to a pole when I make a reverse turn on a narrow road. Left side tail light cover crack, but all lights function well. My own car. Any suggestions? I only treat it as a transportation for my family. So do not want to spend much on repairing it. 1. Bring back to Komoco. But I do not think warranty will cover any. 2. Claim insurance. Excess 600. Maybe I just pay repairing cost and next year premium increase. 3. Outside workshop. Not sure what the cost for the light cover. 4. Use glue or tape to fix it by myself. To me the looking is not an issue. Wait next time go JB or has other issues repair together. Any ideas. Please help. Thanks.
  14. Hi all, anyone has any idea where I can get the Hyundai Elantra 2018 cruise control panel that is supposedly on the steering wheel?

  18. The facelifted Hyundai Elantra has been spotted without any disguise. Also called the Avante in South Korea, the new car is expected to be unveil on its home turf next month. Looking very different with all the angular, hard lines on its face, the car eschews the gentle curves of the current model. As for the sides, it looks like nothing much has been changed but the rear has been updated with a new bumper and new tailights. Spotted on Almuraba, net, the article did not mention anything on whether there were any changes inside the car nor the mechanical parts of the car. However, one can expect the new car to be blessed with some driver assistance systems that are present in the Kona SUV.
  19. Wish to get help here. My car is Elantra Basic model. i crack the left tail light cover a few month ago. Now I got a new light and wish to change by my self. However, when I start to do DIY, I found there is an additional wire connect to the tail light. Is there anyone can advice what is this wire for? I think it looks like for the power source for reverse camera, or reverse sensor? The new light I bought do not have this wire. I attached the photos. Thanks The new light bought do not have this wire I checked the right tail light, do not have this wire
  20. Hyundai revealed its all-new 2017 Elantra at the Los Angeles Auto Show. As one of Hyundai's all time best-selling models, the new Elantra enters its sixth-generation building on the momentum and success of its proven award-winning formula and strong value proposition by offering a bold aerodynamic design with sophisticated styling, all-new efficient powertrains for enhanced fuel economy, better ride quality and noise insulation, and comprehensive safety with class-above features. Assembled in both Montgomery, Alabama and Ulsan, South Korea, the new Elantra distinguishes itself from the compact car class with the addition of segment-first premium convenience and safety technologies, and is expected to receive a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a 5-Star Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The new Elantra projects confidence with sculpted body forms complemented by smoothly contoured lines that reveal the underlying inspiration of Hyundai designers. Inspired by the concept of dynamic precision, Elantra's architecture was a perfect platform for collaboration between Hyundai designers and engineers to blend advanced styling with functional aerodynamics. From the front, the new Elantra is defined by Hyundai's signature hexagonal grille that projects a distinctive character when combined with its modern lighting signatures, including available HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Lights and unique vertical LED daytime running lights, which are firsts for Elantra. Elantra's sporty lower front fascia integrates functional front wheel air curtains, a component that is derived from the Sonata Hybrid that helps manage air flow from the front of the vehicle and around the wheels to minimize turbulence and wind resistance. In addition, underbody covers, an aerodynamic rear bumper bottom spoiler and rear decklid designed with an expanded trunk edge contribute to Elantra's 0.27 coefficient of drag.
  21. Create a thread to discuss All new 2014 Eltantra, which will be launched soon in Singapore,
  22. wow, 1.6 T 201BHP and competing with Golf GTi. Wonder if it will reach SG?
  23. Hyundai’s upcoming Elantra Sport has been spotted in South Korea without any disguise. Posted in Bobaedream forum, Korean Domestic Model rides on a lowered chassis and comes with newly designed front and rear bumpers. The car also features new side skirts plus slightly different head- and tail lamp fixtures. Being a sportier variant, larger wheels and tires were spotted on the car too. The powertrain has not been revealed yet but it is believed that the car will be getting the company’s 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that pushes out 200 or more horses. It should be paired to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic. Expect the handling of the car to be better with the retuned suspension and stronger brakes.
