This motorcyclist shows us why it’s important to always keep your eyes on the road! In this video, a seemingly distracted motorcyclist follows closely behind a white Renault Fluence as the pair navigates through roads filled with busy roadworks. Throughout the entire video, the motorcyclist could be seen tilting his head up and down multiple times. Upon approaching an underground tunnel entrance, the white PHV slows down to join the long queue of vehicles waiting to enter. However, the distracted rider fails to anticipate this sudden change and ends up rear-ending the Renault. The impact force forces the motorcycle to flip forward, throwing the rider down onto the road face-first. With his feet against the car, the rider manages to lift his motorcycle off of himself. He walks to the side of the road and removes his helmet, revealing broken pieces inside. Concerned, the driver of the white Renault and the cam car alight from their cars to check on the rider’s condition. Netizens’ reactions While we may never know for sure if the rider was looking at his phone, the number of times he kept looking down was suspicious. He can represent SG at the next Olympic games. #motorcyclistforparis2024 Indeed! Kudos to both drivers for immediately checking on the motorcyclist! Hope he is alright! ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

Anyone went for a test drive? I think it is a better buy than taiyota. More air bags but only cost one grand more, quite worth it. I did not test drive the car but sat in it outside the showroom, the back seat is spacious. Any comments?

Hi, Let me start a new thread. Searched but no such thread yet. Test drove this weekend, it is good price for specification offered. Although engine is 1.5, I find the drive is quite spirited, should be due to EDC that is able to bring the car up to speed with its fast shift, faster than the 1.6 bluehdi C4 can do with its EAT6. The car has all the high specification an entry luxury car offers. I am open to critical opinion such as dci failure, french car with poor quality ..etc and hope owner to offers their experience such as fuel consumption able to meet the paper specification, drive and any electronic failure. Thank you.

Renault has released the photos of its face-lifted Fluence sedan for 2013. Sporting a new corporate face inspired by the Alpine A110-50 concept, the revised Fluence will make its debut at the 2012 Istanbul International Auto Show which opens to the public from now till 11th November. Among the changes, the Fluence gets new LED daytime running lights in the lower bumper above the fog lights. The boot and tail light combination seemed unchanged. Overall, the cosmetic update on the Fluence is more convincing than its Korean cousin, the Samsung SM3. "The changes featured on New Renault Fluence are perfectly in phase with the needs of our key international markets, like Turkey and Russia," says Hyun-Young Kwak, Project Marketing Manager, Renault Fluence. On the inside, the new Fluence gets Bluetooth/USB connectivity and the Renault R-Link infotainment system. A new digital instrument cluster and updated upholstery completes the interior revision. Under the hood, the 2013 Fluence gets a new 115bhp 1.6-litre 16V engine that is mated to an X-Tronic continuously variable transmission. According to Renault, this enables the new Fluence to achieve a large reduction in fuel consumption to 6.4L/100km with CO2 emissions of 149g/km. The pre-facelift model is often criticized as being underpowered. Let's hope that the new motor will address the issue. Photo Credit: worldcarfans.com

Renault-Samsung has released the initial details on the 2013 SM3 sedan, ahead of its launch in September. The Renault Fluence and the Samsung SM3 are basically identical twins other than the badges on the bonnet. This could mean that the updates on the Korean saloon will likely be applied on the Fluence that we are getting in Singapore. The face lifted SM3 features a revised front bumper that houses a new grille with more chrome. In addition, the design of the headlights has been updated. Nothing much seems to have changed at the rear end. On the inside, the upgrades include a new digital instrument panel, an electronic parking brake and a "SMart Connect" infotainment system that comes with GPS navigation. The new instrument panel looks pretty cool although it could have borrowed some styling cues from the 2012 Chevrolet Aveo. Details on the engine options are not available at the moment. However, do expect the existing combination of the 1.6L petrol unit with CVT transmission to be carried over. Reviews by existing owners of the Fluence in Sgcarmart suggest that the car is underpowered. Hence, let

Following the Fluence Z.E. all-electric sedan concept's unveiling at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and last December's presentation of the Kangoo Van Z.E. prototype at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Renault recently unveiled the finalized designs of both models. The French automaker said that customers in Europe and selected countries including Singapore, South Africa and Russia can pre-reserve their vehicle at www.renault-ze.com. First batch of delivery is expected in the first half of 2011. The Fluence Z.E is powered by an electric motor producing 94HP and 226Nm of torque that motivates the front wheels through a direct drive transmission. The capacity of the Fluence Z.E.'s lithium-ion battery is 22kW/h. The battery itself tips the scales at 250kg and is located behind the rear seats. The driver can charge the battery through a household supply, at fast charge stations using a 32A 400V supply or via a QuickDrop battery switch system that will enable the car's battery to be swapped in approximately three minutes at bespoke battery exchange stations. Fully charged, the Fluence Z.E. has a driving range of up to 160km with a top speed of 130km/h. Continuing with the Kangoo Z.E., the small van is powered by a 59HP electric motor with 226Nm of peak torque that drives the front wheels. The lithium-ion battery is located in a central position beneath the floor, enabling the Kangoo Z.E. to boast the same carrying capacity as the internal combustion-engined model. The battery can be charged via a household main supply (16A 220V) for about six to eight hours, offering an operational range of 160 km.
