  1. All-new 2019 Kia Forte unveiled at North American International Auto Show. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/kia/forte/2019/2019-kia-forte-first-look-review/ https://www.kiamedia.com/us/en/media/pressreleases/13438/all-new-2019-forte-makes-world-debut-at-north-american-international-auto-show1
  2. Hi gurus, Can anyone tell me what does this tubing do? It seems to be connected to the air intake. This is the KIA K3 Forte engine. Many thanks in advance.
  3. Last Feb09, I mentioned to forumers here that i recommended my uncle (prev Sunny) and colleague (prev Vios) to the Forte. Now's a year on, I was at my Uncle's place for CNY visitation. We spoke about cars, and i was lamenting to him about my 9-10km/litre FC for my mz3 1.6SP. He shocked me with his 7km/litre figure for his manual 1.6 forte! i nearly fell off my chair, and for one moment again, agreed that Korean cars still have lots of catching up to do in FC aspect. He also pointed out that he should have gotten a FC friendly altis instead. I regretted introducing this car to him... The puzzling thing he mentioned about his forte is that it prefers hard revving to achieve good FC, while gentle driving hurts FC tremendously. To cut the story short, i went down with him to have a go at his forte, and it's when he showed me the FC trip display. 6.8L/100km We had a good laugh together.
  4. Hi Guys I'm looking to get a 2nd hand car once my COE is up in 2 months time. Looking for a car that has another 1-2years left. Narrowed it down to these few models: 1. Toyota Altis 2. Honda Jazz 3. Kia Forte Would prefer the car to be easier and cheaper to maintain. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
  5. Review of Kia Forte 2019. Today i wanted to test drive 2019 Kia Forte, so i could compared to Hyundai Elantra 2019. Let us know which you like better Kia Forte 2019 or Hyundai Elantra 2019. Thank you. 4,640x1,800x1,440x2,700 (LengthxWidthxHeightxWheelbase) 1.6 Smart Stream 123hp 6,300rpm / 15.7kg.m (4,500) 0-100km/h (10 seconds) tested 100km/h-0 (39.8 meter) 3.2 seconds Competition Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3, Honda Civic https://youtu.be/2iEa8mtUXAE
  6. Sport? This week we test drove 2020 Kia Forte5 GT. It has 1.6 turbo mated to 7 DCT and it has 5 doors. Would this be faster than Hyundai Elantra Sports? It made me smile. So let’s meet 2020 Kia Forte5 GT. -1.6 Turbo Gasoline 204hp | 27kg.m (1,500~4,500) - 7 Speed Dual Clutch Transmission Competition: Hyundai Elantra GT, Honda Civic Type-R, Volkswagen GTi https://youtu.be/gHkC4YL_Mm4
  7. I have tried to search for similar issue in this forum, but couldn't find any. So I decide to start a new thread, hope someone can advice me. The issue with my 2009 Kia Cerato Forte steering wheel is when travelling at highway speed (eg. 100km/h), whenever i need to make a slight adjustment to the steering wheel (eg. 5 degrees to the right), the steering wheel seems to stuck, and I need to use a bit of strengthen to turn it. This has nothing to do with the steering wheel getting heavier at higher speed. I don't encounter the same issue when travelling at low speed. I think my car's steering wheel is electric powered, as when I open the bonnet, I don't see steering fluid reservoir. Anyone has any idea what's wrong with the steering wheel on my car?
  8. Hi bros, fellow colleague wants to choose between the 3 cars....even though they may not be of the exact price range. Any bros who have experience in these 3 cars can feedback the goods and bads of each one? hehe

  12. ok. the last time i drove an Avante, it was rented and that was like > 3 years ago. i now got a new ride, an 09 forte. i find the mirrors a tad narrow as compared to my old ride. i was wondering, if any brudders here ever replace their side view mirrors for their Forte before. ever wondered if the Avante side view can be used on the Forte?
  13. Anyone knows or have tried fitting 205/45 or 225/45 tyres to the stock Forte 17" rims? thinking of changing the Solus tyre to Eagle F1 Asym but there's no 215/45
  14. hi all, i was viewing a kia forte 2011 model but the rear power windows don't go down all the way. They seem like stuck when they are 3/4 on both rear windows. Is this normal?
  15. Some not-so-nice comments from New Sunday Times (06 December 2009) on the Naza Forte: "The 17" wheels, however, made the ride a bit harsh on rutted sufaces (the lower specced EX comes with more comfortable 15" wheels). We noticed that the Forte nose-dived quite a bit, and if one is not careful, the rear can easily step out. Lifting the right foot in mid-corner, the tail with its torsion-beam suspension started to wag like a puppy. Throw in the light steering and even the best driver will not do anything daring on a wet day with a Forte. Of course, traction control was there to keep things in check but the best is that you keep the steering straight while braking and it should be okay." Price: RM81,800 (1.6SX) OTR with insurance. Regards,
  16. Anyone has more info on the new K3? Heard it will arrive in our shores by Mid Year. Will it be better than the current Elantra? What's your guess on the price? Same as the Elantra? Discuss n any info on the engine, chassis is most welcomed.
  17. Fancy the power of the Veloster Turbo but wished that it comes with a 4th door? Good news! The all-new Kia Forte 5-door may fit the bill. The latest Korean hatchback was launched at the recent 2013 Chicago Auto Show. Like the four-door sedan, the five-door Forte looks sportier and more sophisticated that its predecessor. It has a slimmer grille than the sedan and comes with a more aggressive-looking front bumper that house a larger air intake. For the new Forte hatchback, beauty is more than skin deep. The big news is that the 1.6-litre T-GDI will be offered as one of the engine choice. The turbocharged lump churns out 201bhp with 264Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm to 4,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. This most powerful Forte to date wears 18-inch alloys and has a sports-tuned MacPherson suspension at the front with multi-link setup at the rear. "The combination of a useful hatchback for carrying cargo and the sportiness of the turbocharged SX trim make the all-new Forte 5-door a dual threat in the segment," said Kia Motors America executive vice president of marketing, Michael Sprague. 18. My ride which is a 2009 kia cerato forte EX is giving out squeaking sound when I'm turning the steering wheel left or right. Confirm it came from the steering wheel. Any one had same experience?? It only happens when I'm doing reverse parking and not under any other circumstances e.g braking , u turn.
  19. For those who have been waiting for the arrival of the all new Kia Forte K3, the good news is that you can pre-book yours for S$89,999 now. The stylish Korean sedan will arrive locally in July 2013 according to Kia Singapore's Facebook page. Based on the same underpinning as the Hyundai Elantra, the 2013 Forte measures 4,560mm by 1,780mm by 1,445mm (L x W x H). The Singapore-bound K3 will also be equipped with the same 130bhp 1.6-litre D-CCVT engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Century sprint is quoted as 11.6 seconds. Based on a conversation that I had with a Kia sales personal, the new Forte will be equipped with 17-inch alloys and factory-fitted leather seats. The electric driver's seat will have two memory settings. In terms of safety, the compact sedan will be fitted with no less than six airbags. From the sales person's catalogue, the new K3 can be selected in 10 different colours. The OMV of the car is said to be about S$17K and the COE rebate at launch price is S$40K. If that sounds like good value to you, it is time to head down to Cycle & Carriage's Kia showroom.
  20. Self proclaim to be fastest forte in singapore.... anyone know him? 0-100 in less than 7 sec... wtf lol
  21. Local Kia distributor has just announced the arrival of the new Kia Forte hatchback, fresh off the back of the recently-revised Forte models with new six-speed gearboxes earlier this year. Oddly enough, as I was driving the six-speed Cerato Forte the other day, I was wondering to myself, when will Kia bring in the Forte hatchback, if at all. And lo and behold, they have done! It promises to be exciting times ahead for fans of Korean-made cars. Chevrolet and Kia fired the first salvos earlier this year with revised versions of their Cruze and Cerato Forte sedans respectively. Hyundai was prepared to hit back with the launch of their new Avante replacement (which will re-use the Elantra name once again) in the next couple of months, but Kia pulled off another trick by releasing the Forte hatchback. We're expecting the Cruze hatchback before this year is out too, so all three manufacturers are most certainly battling hard for the consumer's dollar. I guess especially so now with COE prices showing no signs of coming down, Korean carmakers have to fight even harder for a decreasing slice of the Singapore automotive pie. Which can only mean more choices for us. Now, would that be a good thing or a bad thing?
  22. Hi, any recommened battery for this car, and where has the best deal? thanks.
  23. Hi The stock reverse cam in my car has died on me. Initially i had to reengage reverse a few times for it to come on, now it no longer works. I think it's amore a wiring problem then the camera being spoilt. Dont ereally wish to bring it back to CnC as the warranty is over. Any recommendations for a workshop that can repair such a problem? Would prefer if it's in the east. thanks
  24. The all-new 2013 Kia Forte has just been introduced in its domestic market. The above Korean video shows a test drive review of the latest Kia sedan. Measuring 4,560mm long, 1,780mm wide and 1,435mm tall, the Forte is powered by a 138bhp 1.6-litre GDI engine in Korea. It is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The test drive demonstrates the use of Kia
