  1. There's nothing like celebrating National Day with a little racing between an SUV and an MPV. A white Honda Odyssey was spotted going toe to toe with a silver Mercedes GLA200 along the TPE expressway on Monday (Aug 9). The video starts off with the white Honda in the lead, as the driver recklessly switched into the camcar lane. Footage from the rear of the camcar showed that both cars were initially speeding along the expressway, with the silver Mercedes desperate to outrun its fellow counterpart. With the Honda quickly gaining speed, the driver of the Mercedes decided to resort to overtaking the camcar on its left - a really dangerous move given that all vehicles were travelling at a relatively high speed. As both vehicles zipped in and out between other cars on the road, it was tough to judge who won the race. 2. Source: https://www.mycarforum.com/forums/forum/2-japanese-talk/?do=add Honda will introduce its new Ye Series of electric vehicles at this month's Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. These new vehicles will join the automaker's existing e:N Series EV lineup that is already on sale in China, and they will begin going on sale before the end of the year. The first two models that will arrive are the Ye P7 and Ye S7. The pair will ride on a newly developed EV platform available in single-motor, rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configurations. Honda says it will tailor the RWD variants "to offer sporty and crisp handling" while gearing the AWD versions toward "high power and highly responsive handling." The photos show the two EVs in just a couple of angles, with the pair featuring similar silhouettes. However, both have distinct front fascias, with the S7's styling being a bit sportier than its sibling. The brand also has plans to launch future production models based on the Ye GT Concept. The GT has a coupe-like profile—it looks like a squished S7—with a pointier nose, sleeker headlights, no cladding, and a wide, low profile. Honda doesn't offer much regarding the GT's specs, but it said it designed the EV "to provide the ultimate driving experience." It'll also be the first Honda automobile ever to feature a large screen for the front seat passenger. Honda says the Ye P7 and Ye S7 will go on sale before the end of this year. Production models based on the Ye GT Concept will hit dealer lots in China by the end of 2025. The company plans to introduce 10 new EVs in the Chinese market by 2027, six of which will be new Ye Series models. Its latest series of EVs is all part of the automaker's plan to shift its lineup to fully electric vehicles in China by 2035.
  3. Hello Everyone, I saw that some drivers in the Honda jazz fit group on Facebook received notifications of vehicle recall due to Fuel pump impeller. Personally, i have not received the notifications but out of curiosity, i went to onemotoring to check on it since my car is a Honda Fit manufactured in 2019. True enough, it was under a recall program. Under the Onemotoring page, i was advised to contact the importer or dealer for rectifications. I have since then contacted the importer to ask for advice. However, i was directed to contact my dealer to get it rectified instead. My dealer may have closed down and I shared this with the importer. I was informed to get it rectified at my own workshop. My work shop however have turned down this rectification work as they do not know exactly what needs to be replace or changed. As the description of it is very brief. "Improper molding conditions in the impeller (resin impeller) of a low-pressure fuel pump can cause the resin density to become low, causing it to swell and become deformed by the fuel. As a result, the impeller may come into contact with the pump case, causing the fuel pump to malfunction, and in the worst-case scenario, the engine may stall while driving. Replace the low-pressure fuel pump with a countermeasure item." I have since informed the importer that my dealer has possible closed down and that my workshop do not want to do the job - pending their reply. Any advice from anyone who have faced or are facing such issues at the moment ? Thank you.

  5. I own a Honda Freed Hybrid 2019 model and this happen to me twice. When going to Malaysia at Woodlands causeway, sometimes it's a long wait. But there are times where it's 1 hour+ at the causeway. The strange thing is that my hybrid battery will go dead, and then the car doesn't seem to move. When I press on the accelerator, the car jerks and has no power moving forward. There is multiple reminder to me that the battery will be dead soon and performance will degrade. Only when the car clears the customs, I drive for about 1km+ then the car goes back to normal. The last time it happens, I have to stop the car, turn off and on, and I see the car charging. So the question is: 1) Why isn't my Freed charging when stationary? Is there a configuration that I need to do in order to enable that? The car instructions are all in Japanese. 2) Will this situation damage the battery life?
  6. The current 10th generation Civic was officially unveiled on 17 September 2015, and after close to 5 years, the next gen is on the horizon. The spy shots below shown the 5 door Type R variant, which look more upright than the current gen even though it was wearing heavy cladding. More spy shots of the other variants can be expected to surface very soon. Stay tuned.
  7. Source: https://uk.motor1.com/news/703878/honda-new-ev-logo/ Honda EVs will be getting a fresh logo. The company is updating its iconic "H mark," which has been used continuously on all of its cars since 1981. The new logo — which Honda says represents "two outstretched hands" — is a thinner, minimalist version of the current H, minus the trapezoid border. This new logo bears a striking resemblance to Honda's first logo. Introduced in 1963 (which can be seen below in the historical timeline), the original H featured a similarly thin, top-heavy design, albeit one that was wider rather than taller. That logo was only briefly used in America on the first car the company sold, the 1969 N600, before the badge was redesigned in 1969. Honda will debut its new H logo on future 0 Series electric cars. The 0 Series is a lineup of next-gen, clean-sheet-design EVs that will be introduced to American buyers starting in 2026; those cars will also get their own unique branding, seen below. The first two 0 Series vehicles are concepts called the Saloon and the Space-Hub, a saloon and a van that share a similar futuristic wedge-shaped exterior. The Saloon, Honda has confirmed, will inspire a future production model for American streets; that'll likely be the first time the new H emblem could be seen on US roads. There's no word if this new "H" will be paired with the spelled-out Honda badging on the back of the company's upcoming EV SUV, the Prologue, or if the Prologue will get the new badging with a later facelift. Honda also hasn't intentionally played up the parallels to the company's first car logo, but with the resurgence of nostalgic nameplates getting revived both at Honda and elsewhere, we can't help but wonder if callback advertisements or models are in the company's future.

  10. Source: https://mustsharenews.com/honda-colouring-practice/ Driver Of Honda Car Fails To Park Within Lot, Gets Colouring Exercise As A Joke Poor parking jobs are probably something many motorists in Singapore have encountered before. But a driver of a silver Honda Shuttle apparently did theirs so badly that someone decided to leave a colouring practice sheet to teach them to ‘stay within the lines’. Looking at the photo, the car appeared to be halfway out of its lot, clearly infringing into the lot beside it. Whoever left the colouring exercise certainly made a good jab as the gesture amused many netizens. Poorly parked Honda gets colouring practice sheet While driving a car requires skill, parking one does too, which the driver of a silver Honda Shuttle seemed to lack. Either that, or they were in a rush and decided to park as they pleased. In a post on 7 Dec, Facebook page SG Road Vigilante – SGRV shared a photo of the car in question not parked squarely in its intended lot. Although half of the car’s body sat within one lot, a good third of its right side ‘spilt over’ into the lot to its right. Should there be no other lot left but the one beside it, we’re sure the other driver would have been vexed. Noticing the evidently poor parking job, someone decided to leave the Honda driver a message by assigning them some ‘homework’ in the form of a colouring exercise with a note. “Many three-year-olds have trouble staying within the lines,” the passive-aggressive note read. “Maybe if you practise colouring this turtle, it will help with your parking.” The ‘turtle’ did appear to look more like a tortoise though. It also possessed the most judgmental stare possible. SGRV uploaded a soft copy of the sheet, which implies that it’s easily available for anyone who might want to do the same. Netizens find assignment funny What the stranger did may seem like a lot of effort for a funny jab, but this isn’t the first time the colouring tortoise has appeared tucked under a wiper. In 2021, a BMW driver who parked slanted received one, though the car appeared to be still within the lot. At least the tortoise message is less offensive. Netizens showed their support for the funny jab in the post’s comments. Another user shared that they participated in such activities too. Unsurprisingly, the targeted drivers merely looked at the paper and tossed it away. One commenter, however, decided to point out the fact that there could be some other side of the story. They brought up a disabled driver as a possible example. Either way, we at least hope the judgmental tortoise lives rent-free in the heads of truly inconsiderate drivers so they’ll remember to park properly next time. And earlier this year, an Audi that was parked a little too far to the left received the passive-aggressive tortoise, alongside a fully aggressive note decrying the driver’s sexual prowess.

  12. To be unveiled in Japan in September 2022. Although it is sized between the HR-V and CR-V, but this new SUV will be replacing the CR-V in the Japanese Market, as they just announced the cease of CR-V production days before introducing this latest ZR-V. A strange move to me. For those of you who are follow motoring news closely, you may find that it look very familiar and that you have seen it somewhere. Well, the same model is available in the USA recently, but using the HR-V nameplate. Another head scratching decisions by Honda...

No, we're not talking about war here, we're talking about the ubiquitous Honda Vezel. These popular crossovers present themselves at every junction and every turn, making it practically impossible to get through two traffic lights without crossing paths with one of them. How do you stand out in a sea of lookalikes? Fret not, here's a list of 12 affordable items you can pick up to zhng your Vezel and enhance your driving experience. 14. Back in pure electric form. Its been a long long long time for the Prelude. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a45633444/honda-prelude-concept-revealed/
  15. Prayers to the motorcyclist's family. What happened? A Honda Jazz cut off and side swiped a motorcyclist at Yishun Avenue 1 on 23 July 2023, around 9.30 A.M. This sent the motorcyclist off his bike and knocked his helmet off as well, leaving his head unprotected as he crashed onto the tarmac. The motorcyclist laid still on the ground, and another rider who went past the motorcyclist as the incident took place, but stopped and went over to check on the victim. The person who provided the footage claimed to have returned to the scene and reported to the police after dropping off their wife, who called the ambulance. It is unknown if the Honda Jazz had motive or if it was simply reckless driving. Online Chatter Some facebook users who claimed to be the victim’s father-in-law and cousin have commented under the post saying that he is in a comatose state in the ICU. Others sent well wishes for the victim’s recovery, and called for the driver to face justice and dealt with severely. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 16. Replacement for the Fit Shuttle, but I guess Honda decision to drop the "Fit" moniker in attempt to make the new model a class above the Fit. IMO, this is a decent model (in look and size) comparable to the Airwave.
  17. Patent images from Brazil registry. The front bonnet is exceptionally and unnecessarily long. Total waste of space (and material) in my opinion since the engine option is unlikely to be anything larger than an IL4 2.0 sump which will be transversely mount as usual. These spy shots give us a glimpse of how the actual car sis going to look like.
  18. SUV stands for ‘Sports Utility Vehicle’, but that doesn’t mean it’s suited to actual sport. Especially if you aren’t a great driver. Like this Mazda driver for example. What happened? On Wednesday at 7.20p.m this week, a Mazda CX9 driver decided to test the ‘sports’ part of his SUV by making an ambitious lane change on Bartley Road. Attempting to cross two lanes in one go, the CX9, to its credit, activated its turn signal and crossed one lane with no issue. However, on the targeted lane, a Honda HRV was right beside the Mazda. Upon realising the Mazda’s intention, the HRV accelerated ahead to either give it a slot in the lane or avoid being crushed. But the Mazda would not relent or slow down, and hit the Honda in the side. The Honda then stopped, keeping the Mazda behind it and both cars blocked a lane each. It's worth noting that offenders of reckless driving will face up to 12 months of imprisonment, being fined up t0 $5,000 or both. Online chatter Some people actually blamed the Honda for speeding up, while others praised it sarcastically. Others just insulted the Mazda driver for driving as if it was his grandfather’s road. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 19. Source: https://www.motor1.com/news/680166/third-generation-honda-n-box-debut/ The first-generation Honda N-Box went on sale in Japan in 2011. As its name implied, the small model had a very square appearance. The automaker premiered the third-gen N-Box before beginning deliveries in Japan this fall. The company starts taking orders in August, but pricing isn't yet available. Like the previous two generations, the latest N-Box is still boxy. Now, even the headlights have square surrounds. There's a stumpy nose; the rest is for the passenger compartment. The rear doors slide open like you'd find on a minivan. An optional Fashion Style package adds off-white elements to the mirrors and door handles, in addition to body-color wheel caps. Buyers can upgrade to the N-Box Custom trim level with hexagonal grille mesh rather than the tiny circles on the standard model. The higher trim level comes standard with LED headlights and clear taillamps instead of red. An optional Coordination Style package adds dark chrome to the grille and rear license plate surround, in addition to black aluminum wheels.
  20. Bro has been putting off getting his eyes checked for too long already. What happened? A Honda Vezel driver decided to seek clarification from a split road sign on Clementi road, which led to him mounting the kerb and hitting the sign too. You can see the exact moment he realised that he was too close and hit the brakes. Like come on lah, the literal 2 split roads aren’t enough?? But it was too late, and he had to fully mount the kerb before getting 2 wheels back down on the road. GG to his alignment. Online chatter Because this happened yesterday on 9th August, some believed he was just feeling extra patriotic. There’s always the usual jokes and comments at bad driving… Some also enjoyed the background music playing during the recording. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 21. Hi all, since this car was release on May 2019, would like to start a thread on the facelift model. As 2019 model all comes with standard Honda sensing, maybe we can share ideas and mods?
