Recently my car having this issue that it can't accerelate pass 40km/H and I have to release the pedal and step again in order to move and after a few minute I will cut off again, and this happen only on raining day, towded to C&C to have a check and the answer they gave me was my led taillamp resistor was cut away? And they said I had change the taillamp, I told the guy this led taillamp was original from C&C for 2016 model lancer ex, the issue is I been driving for the pass 1 year plus and this issue happen right after I service with them in December 2018, I didn't even touch my taillamp before how could the resistor cut away and the insisted me to change the whole taillamp for $800 plus in order not to have the same problem again, what I am not happy is about they accuse me for cutting it away, any bro can advise me what should I do? I am really lost for now

TL;DR – A Mitsubishi Lancer and a Volkswagen Scirocco were caught on camera speeding along the CTE and overtaking other vehicles using the road shoulder. Unfortunately for one of the two idiots, one of them hit a BMW X3 in the process and went full turtle, causing a 2-hour long jam in its wake. TL;DR - This middle-aged woman was standing in front of a car park lot at AMK in an attempt to reserve the lot for a Mitsubishi Lancer. If you didn't know, 'chope' basically means to reserve/declaring that its yours. Singaporeans often use tissue packets to 'chope' seats at free-seating areas such as hawker centres. Watch this 36-second clip to see how this woman stood there to be a human tissue packet. What happened? This lady stood in front of a parking lot at AMK Hub so that her Mitsubishi Lancer could get the lot. It was said that there were many empty lots around the mall, somehow this one in particular is the chosen one. Also probably because it's the one nearest to the entrance of AMK Hub. I guess Singaporeans no longer use tissue packets to 'chope', we now use our bodies...? Online Chatter I wonder just how many times she has done this. Takeaway Please do not allow/ask your family and friends to hog the lots, especially not in this way. It is extremely dangerous as other vehicles may not see them standing there, which can lead to dire consequences. Many drivers flock to the expressways or tunnels in order to have a quicker and more efficient journey. Most usually drive reasonably and abide to traffic customs and display good road etiquette. However this Honda Vezel took the meaning of 'quick' way too seriously, and his rush to get ahead ended up affecting the poor Mitsubishi Lancer who stood in its way. See the video here: Honda Vezel 1, Mitsubishi Lancer 0 The poor Mitsubishi Lancer! Its side mirror never stood a chance. Off it went to its spinning demise, spurned to the dusty tunnel floor, to be rolled over and flipped about by the other cars, for the rest of eternity. From the top: Even when the Vezel was behind the cam car, we can see that it has already been pushing past the long row of cars before. Then after he got past the cam car in question, here he is shown, speeding ahead. Oh no, watch out! Then, the tight squeeze... Leaving us to the first picture we came from: RIP, mirror! You are dearly missed. Time for judgement After the video was shared online, there were thoughts to be had and shared: That's right, because the Vezel certainly wasn't sparing any thought for the others around him, while blatantly disobeying traffic rules. Only motorbikes could dream to weave in between the gaps left by cars around them; not huge and bulky Vezels. We're not saying we condone license plate plucking but... Finally, one comment had a very good explanation as to why the Vezel was so eager to pass through the line of cars ahead: Lol! Understandable, but not an excuse for his behaviour. Mind your actions on the road please Because of their selfishness, the Vezel driver posed a danger to the cars around them, even damaging another in the process. Don't be like them. Not only will you be cursed at, but you could get into trouble too. Singapore's Road Traffic Rules states that "no vehicle shall be driven, moved, stopped or allowed to remain at rest on any shoulder or verge", unless there is a valid reason. Reacting with a brake check to a tailgater or vice versa is courting for trouble. These two actions simply do not go hand in hand with each other. Here's why: What Happened? In the video, the cam car - a Mitsubishi Lancer was gunning down the CTE in the wee hours of the morning at a significantly fast speed. And to its rear was a white Toyota Camry that was also speeding down the expressway. The Toyota Camry gradually sped up and tailgated the Mitsubishi Lancer. Having witnessed the provocation from its rear, the Mitsubishi Lancer reacted with a rather forceful brake check, resulting in the Camry rear-ending it. Despite the collision, the Toyota Camry driver pulled away from the Mitsubishi Lancer before changing lanes and scooting from it. How do you know if it is a Mitsubishi Lancer? Some events are beyond our control, such as getting into an accident with another motorist, due to plain oversight on his part. However, if you were to get into an accident on your own like this Mitsubishi driver, then you only have yourself to blame: What Happened? A Mitsubishi Lancer EX was travelling on lane 2 along Sengkang East Drive when he veered off course, mounted the kerb and crashed into a lamp post, sending it to the ground. The driver then alighted from his vehicle to retrieve items from the back seat and boot of his car. After retrieving his items, the driver hurriedly flees away on foot. But Wait... Just when you thought it was over, the Mitsubishi driver does something else. After fleeing from the scene, the driver decided to "u-turn" and headed back to his car. He began searching high and low inside his car and the surrounding area while appearing to be looking for a specific item. Moments later, he ditches his car again and flees from the scene. Later in the morning, traffic police could be seen at the accident scene, surveying the surrounding neighbourhood and investigating the accident. The Possibilities In all honesty, accidents such as the above could only happen for two possible reasons: (1) Driving under the influence of alcohol; and/or (2) Driving under the influence of drugs. Moreover, the fact that the driver's first instinct was to retrieve his belongings from his car and flee makes him even more sus. Mitsubishi Lancer’s desire for a petty amount of car park fee evasion places both vehicles in an increased risk of a potential accident. Vehicle tries to evade parking fees by tailgating the camcar vehicle at the car park exit. Pretty ridiculous act for a small car park fee, those who can’t afford to drive should just stay at home. Watch the video for yourself below Tailgating is a dangerous habit of driving too closely to the vehicle in front. Though tailgating itself isn’t exactly considered illegal, there are however some instances where it could be classed as careless or reckless driving. Evasion of parking fees, however, are $25 for motorcycles, $50 for cars as well as $80 for heavy vehicles respectively. No one appreciates a Mitsubishi Lancer’s ‘boom boom boom’ exhaust at 5am

TL;DR – Two men argue at a multi-storey carpark because one of them allegedly parked his Mitsubishi Lancer (with a modded exhaust) and revved unnecessarily at five in the morning. Here’s something interesting that SG Road Vigilante just uploaded - Two men arguing over a Mitsubishi Lancer’s modified exhaust. Here’s the video: Boom Boom Boom From the conversation between the two men, we can safely assume there was an exchange of words before the start of the video. The guy taking the video is unhappy with the Lancer driver’s disregard for the neighbours. “Ask you very simple. Be considerate. You come inside here, Boom Boom Boom. You parking here, not moving also you whack whack whack like that. Eh, every morning 5 o’clock you in the morning you do like that you know brother.” Lancer driver The Lancer driver does not address the guy’s concerns. Instead, he focuses on other things “Wah, now video, talk nicely ah? Just now want to play gangster, call police, say I no lan jiao. But now ah, video ah, he talk nicely because he scared I post” Before I continue, let me just put it out there = I did not expect the Lancer driver’s voice to sound like…. that. Not an isolated incident According to the guy taking the video, the Lancer driver has been doing this for a while now. The Lancer driver’s defence? “Because I need to work, I work midnight.” I’m so confused right now. Say what? Don’t forget his voice. His kkj? Ouch, that’s a first, second and third-degree burn all in. -
The driver of this Mitsubishi Lancer must be kicking himself right now. I don't like to judge the way that other people drive their vehicles, but when it comes to drivers not exhibiting the most basic fundamentals of driving, it's hard to bite my tongue. In the video, the camcar is carefully driving down the SLE expressway along Woodlands Avenue 12 due to the wet weather. Upon reaching the expressway exit, the driver slows down after he notices the white Audi station wagon doing so as well. All of a sudden, a Mitsubishi Lancer appears out of the blue from the right at an increasingly high speed. Due to the driver's lack of foresight, the car ends up skidding on the wet road and briefly clips the camcar and the white Audi. The driver tries to stay in his lane and ends up hitting the back of a black Toyota Vezel. The force of the impact results in the Vezel hitting the back of a Toyota Altis as well. All in all, 4 vehicles were damaged by the Lancer, with the camcar and the Audi only suffering a few dents. I'm not sure how experienced he is, but I'm pretty sure the Lancer driver can kiss his No Claim Discount (NCD) goodbye after this accident. What is NCD? No Claim Discount (NCD) or No Claim Bonus (NCB) is a discount on a driver's car insurance premium based on how long he has been driving and his existing claims record. As drivers accumulate more years of driving without making a claim, they would be entitled to a discount on the yearly premiums. Given that the driver has been insured with the same company for the past 12 months and does not have any accidents reported or made any claims under his own policy, a cumulative discount will apply whenever he renews his policy with the insurance company. An example of this would be: So if a driver has been accident-free for 5 or more years, he would be entitled to a 50% discount on his yearly premiums. That's a huge discount right there! Unfortunately, the moment a driver gets into an accident, the discount is removed and the premiums for the next year will definitely rise. What if the driver was under the influence of alcohol? If the driver is found to be under the influence by the police, the insurance company will not be paying a single cent. This would mean that all of the repair costs will be paid from the driver's own pocket, which might land him in hot water if he is unable to afford it. Netizens' reactions Yep, that's right! Also, isn't it common sense to slow down around bends? This is why we listen during our theory lessons - to avoid making idiotic mistakes like this. Bored because you can't travel? Why not challenge your friends to a drag race and get fined under the Road Traffic Act? On 18th January, as seen on SG Road Vigilante, a group of approximately eight people were at this illegal drag race. Seems like there were five spectators, two racers and one starter. It wasn't a very fair race because the starter's hand was blocking the Volkswagen Scirocco. It started later than the Mitsubishi Lancer, who saw a golden opportunity (his view not blocked by the starter) and raced ahead. Where's the sportsmanship, brother? Though, if you ask me, I think this race wasn't about speed. The race track was short, and the cars were driving carefully. Yknow why? Cuz' slow and steady wins the race. Some Facebook users were hypothesizing other reasons for the gathering, while others bashed them for their apparent drag racing. Whatever it is, the uploader shouldn't have bao toh (read: sabotage) his friends. Actually, come to think of it, who was videoing this? Weren't there already eight people in the frame? Or also +1 cameraman? This thread is curated from this youtube channel. This is the 2020 Grand Lancer. This is the front view of the Grand Lancer, the design cue does have a bit of Triton in it. 🤔 But it is definitely a whole new take from the past Lancer outlook that hasn't been a refresh for the longest time. I sure like the side profile of the new Grand Lancer, the line from the front A-pillar to the driver door does make the car sportier. I just hope that the vent is real! So that there is some performance purpose for the holes. The rear view of the car is nicely shaped too. The boot has a little duck tail the looks sportier. And I also like the rear bumper the way it has vents. The c shape LED lights to seem to have taken a lot of re-iterations from the recent Civic and Impreza. Nothing much to fanfare about it. A closer view of the Rear LED Light. Here's a look on the front DRL. A bit like golf thou IMHO. Okay. To the interior. This youtube channel is from Taiwan, so is LHD. I like the ipad style centre display! The steering wheel looks very minimalistic! A full LCD display and a nice pedal shifter. 🙂 You can do different configuration on the smart display too! How cool is this! This is by far the favourite for this car. A tesla-like infotainment system! Just look at the size of the screen! OMG! This is so damn good for displaying a map. Reverse mode. Let's come to the back, the centre trunk is quite protruded, so maybe for a long-distance drive, best is to just sit 4 paxs. Look very spacious~! Here's the car key. The boot opening is very practical. I think is big enough for all barang barang. The wheels are fitted on 16" 5 spokes alloy rims with Bridgestone Turanza T001, A very highly recommended touring tyres for those who want comfort and minimum road noises. I will highly recommend Turanza! Okay. That's all for now! Enjoy!

Mitsubishi Lancer and Audi TT survive one close shave!

Now that is one close shave. As seen on SG Road Vigilante's facebook page, an Audi TT failed to stop at the give way line, nearly crashing into a Mitsubishi Lancer Ex which had the right of way on 29th of April Eagle-eyed readers would have definitely spotted the P-plate sign on the Audi, signaling to us that this might just be a rookie's honest mistake. In our opinion, we thought the camera car would have gotten a larger shock, seeing the Lancer swerve into his lane along Sengkang West Road. On another note, should the Lancer have slowed down instead of (recklessly)accelerating into the camera car's lane? British publication Autocar reports the cult-favourite Japanese sports car will be revived under the alliance between Mitsubishi and Renault. Continuing a rich history kicked off by the first-generation model in 1992, the Lancer Evolution XI is set to offer “supercar-beating acceleration together with the choice of either traditional four-door saloon or five-door hatchback bodystyles,” according to Autocar, which cites Japanese-based sources. The newcomer will reportedly share elements of its drivetrain with the next-generation Renault Megane RS, using a turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine mated to a dual-clutch gearbox and an advanced Mitsubishi-developed S-AWC four-wheel drive system. Presently, the Megane RS engine makes 224kW and 420Nm in its most powerful Trophy-R trim similar outputs to the 226kW/414Nm Evolution X that was retired in 2015. However, the possible addition of electronic boosting in a 48V mild-hybrid system being developed for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance is likely to increase its reserves,” the article claims. The 11th generation of the four-wheel-drive Lancer Evolution has been conceived to sit on the CMF-C/D F4 platform developed within Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi. The Evolution’s revival is reportedly part of Mitsubishi chairman Osamu Masuko’s plans to restore the Japanese car-maker’s famous performance status. Seventy-year-old Masuko is set to relinquish his position as Mitsubishi chief executive to Takao Kato. However, the Mitsubishi veteran will continue to lead the company in the position of chairman. Previous plans by Masuko to develop a successor to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X were placed on hold following heavy losses at the company and its subsequent purchase by Nissan in 2016.

Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution making a comeback again?

Mitsubishi has said before that it is not intending on making another Lancer Evolution. But there are reports that a new one is in the works. According to Autocar's article, it claimed that Mitsubishi is planning to revive the Lancer Evolution and build an 11th-generation model, as it found out from unnamed “Japanese-based sources”. It explained that Mitsubishi wants to spice up its lineup and try to cater to the enthusiasts. Using the CMF-C/D F4 platform from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and parts that could be shared with the next-generation Megane R.S., the new Evo might sound like a possibility. While some reports cited that the car could be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder paired with the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, others said that it could use the existing 1.8-litre turbocharged lump found in the current Megane R.S. -

This image previews the look of the new Mitsubishi Lancer, which is set to return as a crossover and could get hybrid power. Mitsubishi is working on a radical return for the Lancer name, as a funky C-segment crossover that will rival everything from the Ford Focus to Toyota’s C-HR. The Japanese brand is enjoying a rapid growth in sales as part of the same Alliance that includes Renault and Nissan. Now the firm’s boss, Briton Trevor Mann, and chief designer Tsunehiro Kunimoto have started work in earnest on replacements for all of Mitsubishi’s current SUVs – and a new generation of small car and Lancer. Mann revealed that the direction of the Lancer is close to being finalised – and he also gave a strong hint of what size of vehicle will carry the badge. “We have a long-range product plan that’s pretty solid until 2025, and a dotted line beyond that,” he explained. “Within that what we’ve said is, ‘Which vehicles do we want? What are we going to work on?’ We’re going to replace ASX, Outlander and Triton. Then we have these two boxes: Pajero and Lancer. “Lancer’s probably the easiest one; we believe we’ve got a solution that could fit the segment. Because if you look globally, the C-segment hatchback [Golf and Focus] market is not shrinking. It’s down a bit in the US and Europe. But its numbers are still expanding in China. So there is appeal. And I think because the segment is so large globally, we’ve got to take a look at it.” Kunimoto says the design direction previewed by the e-Evolution (above) that was displayed at last year’s Tokyo show is ideal for a smaller vehicle. Our main preview image shows how it could evolve into a new Lancer hatch. “Just because it’s C-segment doesn’t mean it has to be a very conventional hatchback,” the designer explained. “Maybe we can create a new type of hatchback vehicle. We’re thinking quite radically. Originality is as much a part of the Mitsubishi design philosophy now as consistency,” Kunimoto added. The firm is likely to base the Lancer on the latest evolution of the Alliance’s CMF C/D platform. That would support a crossover shape like the e-Evolution’s, while also offering the potential for four-wheel drive and the adoption of Mitsubishi’s hybrid systems, tech that the Alliance brands are working hard to integrate into their platforms. -
Both these 2 cars are very close in depreciation in the used car market. Lancer Ralliart 1.8T is 4 speed auto, 165bhp, OMV 21K Lancer 2.0L EX auto is CVT, 155bhp , new model, OMV 18K Which is a better choice? Have only tested Ralliart turbo, engine is a little rough. Power is isn't that fantastic.
