I have a question: Why do so many of you guys like to go JB during ”long weekends” when all the extra day or two does is give you more time to sit in a jam? Not judging, just feel like I’d turn back after the first hour. This guy had to turn back no matter how long he waited though. What happened? Two Nissan Qashqais thought they could cheat the system and decided to use the bus/goods vehicle lane to get a shorter queue in SG during Labour Day. However, an officer caught on to this and made them leave the lane. This meant they would need to U-turn and go all the way back to the beginning of the queue, costing them who knows how much time. I can feel the drivers in the other lane going “serves you right”... Look at how the officer just shoos them away too. TL;DR - A near-miss accident as a Nissan Qashqai driver forgets to engage the handbrake before switching drivers. As a female driver myself, I do not conform to both the stereotypes: 1. Female drivers are bad drivers 2. Females do not drive as well as males This incident debunks the tropes. Watch this 86-second video to see how this male driver conveniently leaves the car without engaging the handbrake, causing the car to roll backwards. So what happened? The Qashqai driver stopped midway on the road in Malaysia where he decided to switch driver seats with the passenger princess. That, itself, is triggering enough for the cam car. To add a cherry on top, the driver consigned to oblivion as he stepped out of the car, without applying his handbrake. This caused the car to roll backwards. The cam car continuously honked at the Qashqai before both cars kissed. Ignorance is not always bliss... I’m sure we have all heard of the typical words from a male driver: “Confirm female driver” “Must be some lady driving” “Want to bet that it's a woman driving?” However, statistically-speaking, males cause more road accidents than women. Additionally, the crashes involving male drivers are reportedly more grievous than women behind the wheels. Dear Esteemed Readers, It is with a heavy heart and a huge dose of disillusionment that I would like to share with you a personal anecdote about the Nissan Qashqai. Firstly, to be fair, with respect to the road tax- and petrol- saving 1.2 L Qashqai, the first five years of driving had been a breeze. However, all heel broke loose, merely a day after my Qashqai's 6th birthday last September. The chronology of my Qashqai's meltdown is as follows (I apologise for any technical typo): A. Replacement of the faulty (1) Evaporator Cooling Coil $320 (6 Sep 2021) (2) Dashbox $280 (6 Sep 2021) (3) Tow Truck Activation $140 (29 Oct 2021) (3) Thermostat Housing $270 (30 Oct 2021) (4) Manifold Gadget $60 (30 Oct 2021) (5) Fan Motor - Air Con $320 (30 Oct 2021) B. Dismantling and Assembly Costs in total $470 C. Locked gearbox with inability to shift the gear from Parking to Drive As recently as last December, it had taken me an average of 5 to 10 minutes to wait for the gearbox to disengage and move off but the situation dovetailed to a complete lockdown last month in which I have to use a pen to depress the Shift Lock button in every instance of gear shifting. D. Busted Speakers The last straw that broke the camel's back occurred yesterday when suddenly, the speakers just blared as loud as a car horn within the car (even at the lowest volume), the intensity of which still leaves me shell-shocked. I sincerely hope that the aforementioned sequence of unfortunate events only applies to yours truly but on a cautious note, I would strongly urge you to re-consider your buying option upon selection of a second-hand Qashqai. Wheelies seem like a pretty cool trick or stunt to look at. Motorcyclists are not the only ones that can perform such stunts, but drivers can also perform wheelies. Don't believe me? Watch it here: What Happened? A Mazda 2 hatchback that performed a last-minute lane change near a red light ended up rear-ending a Nissan Qashqai instead. However, the Nissan SUV easily absorbed the blunt impact from the collision. The rock-hard sturdiness of the Nissan SUV resulted in the Mazda 2 mounting it and doing a "wheelie" on its right wheels. For a moment, it seemed as though the Mazda 2 was about to turn turtle. Luckily, the Mazda 2 regained its stability and safely landed on all four wheels. It then travelled quite a distance before stopping in the middle of the junction. Netizens' Comments I can imagine it LOL. The spy photos aren't the best quality – they look like they were taken from quite a distance – and camouflage hides the finer details. However, we can see that it should wear new clothes even if the underpinnings carry over unchanged, which is the current rumor. It'll borrow design cues from the redesigned Nissan Juke while taking inspiration from Nissan's IMQ concept. You can see the Juke's influence at the rear with the prominent rear quarter panels and sloping hatch glass. The interior is expected to receive a major overhaul with a new dashboard design and a revamped infotainment system. Nissan will begin focusing on electric vehicles instead, using two new hybrid systems. One is suspected to be the company's ePower system that pairs a gasoline engine with batteries and an electric motor. The other could be a plug-in hybrid system relying on Mitsubishi's experience in the arena. Other gasoline engines will likely feature mild-hybrid setups to increase efficiency.

A Nissan qashqai was caught on video going out of control last friday in Bishan. As seen in the low-resolution video, the white SUV crashed through the fence and onto the wrong direction of Bishan Road while doing a flip and more. Thankfully, the lost of control of the car did not cost any lives. According to SG Road Vigilante, The 80-year-old driver and his 74-year-old female passenger were conscious when they were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Obviously, there is going to be some negativity once the driver's age has been revealed... Thankfully there are some nice people out there that are more understanding...

Hey guys, I've been dying to know if the Nissan Qashqai comes with Satellite Nav or Reverse Camera (Like the murano) for the higher end model. Because 90K over, I think shld have the panoramic sunroof, better screen for the radio and stuffs, and controls on steering wheel. These are the last min questions before I head down to TC to book my qashqai. Please help! Thanks.

Hi all, I lost my original SD card for my Nissan QashQai in car camera, I then insert another new SD card but it cannot work. Anybody know why? Or actually, it needs certain software? Please advise.

A 2,000bhp Toyota Land Cruiser recently made it in the Guinness World Record by doing 370km/h. A Nissan Qashqai in U.K just went faster. Built by a well-known tuning company in Britain that is known as Severn Valley Motorsport (SVM), this Nissan Qashqai has 2,000bhp too and it has been filmed doing 382km/h. To allow a SUV to get that kind of speed, SVM naturally went with a highly modified 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 from a 2012 R35 GT-R. Despite clocking more speed than the Toyota, the Qashqai-R is not the fastest SUV in the world as it is not recognised by the officials from Guinness World Record. Stage 1 Gonna start an audio system upgrade on Qashqai J11 In many occasion, the first to upgrade a car stereo is the speaker, head unit and addition amp. Often sound isolation or acoustic treatment is being left out in the equation. There are 4 main things to consider in car audio. 1. Speakers. 2. Amplification. 3. Source.(head unit). 4. If Acoustic treatment were to be in the last stage, there is a possibility of retuning the system again. (dismantle of parts, cover, speaker etc .) By adding enough weight we can reduce the vibration of moving parts. However, efficiency suffer as more horsepower is require to move the car. Bad fuel consumption. South Korea claims that Nissan Qashqai's emissions have been manipulated

Lately, many different car makers have been accused of cheating on emission or fuel economy figures in order to pass standard tests. According to Reuters, the South Korean ministry has accused Nissan’s UK-built Qashqai SUV diesels of using a 'defeat device' to turn off its exhaust reduction system under regular driving temperature. The cars under question appears to be the new Qashqai models with the Euro 6 engines. But Nissan has fought back and issued a statement confirming that the 814 Nissan Qashqais sold in Korea have been correctly homologated as required by the by the Korean Ministry of Environment. Nevertheless, the ministry said that it would fine Nissan S$380,000, and order a recall for all the models sold in the country so far. It will also be testing the older models with the Euro 5 engines. -

On Monday night (30th January) at about 8+ in the evening, I was driving on the first lane of the Tampines Road. There was a slow moving car on the 2nd lane, and a black car behind it. My car was half a car-length behind the black car on the first lane, I saw that the car was moving very near to the diving line between us, and that he had his right signal on. I then hit the brakes hard, as I thought that the black car was going to cut into my lane. After I hit my brakes, the SUV behind me horned me for more than a few good seconds. After we passed the slow moving car, he cut out into the 2nd lane, passed me, and cut back into my lane abruptly and without signalling, and then he suddenly e-braked. After stopping momentarily, he cut 3 lanes out and took the entrance onto the expressway in the direction of TPE. I think it's pretty obvious what his intentions were. To the driver of the Nissan, if you're reading this, maybe it's hard for you to believe, but I did not hit the brakes on purpose, I was just trying to avoid a possible accident. I'm not sure if you thought about what you're doing when you e-braked, you may want to take a chopper to me, whatever. But I had a passenger with me, and she's definitely innocent. Every time I think about what would have happened if I did not manage to stop my car in time, I get very pissed off. Why would any decent human being want to cause serious hurt to other people on purpose? To those who travel around this area frequently, do keep a lookout for this vehicle and stay clear of him. It's a dark colored Nissan Qashai, possibly black or dark blue, car plate SJV8420J. He definitely has some anger management issues, and while he may not want to go home in one piece at the end of the day, I'm sure that there's a lot of us that do. Drive safe, and stay safe!
